“Thanks! Its been an exciting 2 weeks for me with all that's been happening!

Yes, out of the 3 finalists I won! I came home with a snowboard (they gave me a 159 Atomic bordercross board and I traded it for a Burton Feelgood 152 women's board and paid the difference), a Fujifilm Finepix A106 3.1 mp digital camera and an enlarged photo of the winning entry (which will go to Bill). Bill is the best skier on the mountain, so he makes a good subject. Just have to be in the right place to get a shot of him. He almost lost his life in a mini avalanche ~Jan 2nd, and got to the point where he started to panic, thought of his family, relaxed, got lightheaded, accepted what was happening, then he felt a hand grab his. A skier and snowboarder saw the ski's and poles, then went to pick up the glove. Bills glove/hand was at the surface of the snow, and they dug him out with the snowboard. Bill couldn't leave Mammoth with that memory, and stayed a few more days. I saw him 2 days later, jumping off a cliff with the guys and having a great time! The guy is an animal!

I got home from CO, and had an e-mail asking to use one of my photos for a bookcover! Whoo Hooo!

“This is a short week for me. Going backpacking if I can get to the trailhead. Heard its snowing in the Sierra right now.

Only got to see Loveland Ski Area and Arapahoe Basin (going back there), and a little of Denver, Dillon and drove to Breckenridge for dinner one night. Spent 3 nights at the Dam Brewery.

Anyway, gotta finish packing.

Here's the first 2 days of our trip.

Day 1 and 2 of our trip to CO

Day 1 was flying LAX to DIA and the Powdershots awards.

Day 2 was spend riding at Loveland Ski Area in a storm.

Day 3: Rode A-Basin and mini-internet-gathering for dinner.

Day 4: Rode A-Basin again, hiked to the North Pole and rode down, then flew home.

It was a fun 4 days!
