Finalist in a Photo Contest so I'm going to CO!!!

Thanks to Bullet, one of my photos is one of three finalist in a photo contest. They want me to come to Colorado for the award ceremony!

Its the Powdershots Photo Contest and they will announce the winner Friday night in their Denver office. They will have an enlarged photo that I'll get to keep. Winner gets skis and a digital camera. (click on "gallery" on the right, then "2004 entries", then scroll down to the 4th row, left column"

Even if I don't win, that's ok. Its a good excuse to go to Colorado, and my boss told me to "go for it!" We're going to try to visit a few different resorts! Whoooo Hoooo! Its gonna be a great weekend on the slopes!”

Thanks! Just got a call from a friend in Mammoth. He just picked up our gear, and is sending it home with his cousin! I'll pick it up from Westchester tonight (20 min drive?). Saves me that 10 hr round trip drive I was going to do as a last resort!

So now I just have to try to get Monday off (fingers crossed!) to justify the cost of airfare (good excuse to get off work??).”

Should be good weekend in the hills. After the second dryest March in history, the mountains have actually had a couple good blasts of snow in the last week or so, and it looks like more on the way this weekend. I think Arapaho Basin had about 12 inches last weekend alone. Something tells me you\'ll have some fun! Take care!! Good luck!”

“This is pretty exciting! I've got Monday off! Our snowboarding gear made it back from Mammoth and I just picked it up. Booked the flights and saved $300 by coming back Mon night instead of Sun (but it'll be spent on lodging, lift tix, etc). Got most of my stuff together. Now I just have to make it thru one more day of work! I'm having trouble focusing on work. Looking forward to 4 days in Colorado!
