“Okay, lets suppose I do come, if I do I'd like to leave Friday morning get there early Friday afternoon. Also, this would be my first real trip with people other than my cousin. I'm a big newbie. I'm in fairly good shape so keeping pace should hopefully be okay, just dealing with my mistakes would be the only issue.”

“hey smitty, you'll be fine, the temps should be mild, so bring soemthing warm, but not full blown winter, rain gear is a must - even if the forecast is sunny.

This crowd is easy to get along with, and I don't think we're gonna do any heavy mileage. I hike sorta slow anyway.

“I wanted to make sure you knew what Eckville was. It ain't camping. It is a god-send for thru-hikers esp. during storms. The (former?) owner has (had?) a fridge stocked with cold sodas (think summertime thru-hiker) and you can order pizza to be delivered there.

But for a weekend hiker, it isn't normally what you are looking for.”
