If some little people start singing a song to you about the lollipop guild, please let me know.

Artex, you don't have to go through a tornado to visit the Munchkins. I've got just the thing you're looking for right here....

Thanks, Free.
Yep. They hit north of Indy. Took the roof off a skating rink in Kokomo. Nasty things.

At least 8 tornados in northern Illinois. One took out much of Utica, IL (just outside Starved Rock State Park.) 1 dead, 4 missing, 4 injured at last count.

The 4 missing were found dead last night. The tornado that took out Utica, Illinois, killed four people in a tavern/resaurant we stopped at often while hiking/biking along the 70 mile I & M Canal Trail.

The photos of that town are scarey!

Back in college, I was returning from Clifty Falls State Park where we were shooting a documentary on the state parks of Indiana, and a little south of Layfette a tornado destroyed and entire town. We drove in afterwards and documented/helped pick up the pieces. Fortunatly, no one was killed.

That area south of Lafayette and north of Indy is known as Tornado Alley around here. Driving along I-65 in that area during a green storm is NOT fun.

I digress...I was out chasing the Lebanon Storm. Chose to break off and go for the kokomo storm about 5 min before it dropped the Tornado (grrrrr). Over all it was a pretty impressive evening. Today was shaping up to be just as nice, but conditions just didn't devlope like predicted. The Chicagoland area actaully had the worst storm. I was watching it on radar for a while. Had some really impressive structure to it.
