"Under Arizona law, the charge is a misdemeanor that carries a maximum six-month jail term and $2,500 fine." But he is a juvenile so this law may not apply.

from the article:

Moore, 53, said she first reached out to the courts at age 11, seeking protection. "And the court's listened," Moore said.

On leaving court, Moore deflected questions from reporters, telling them if they want to know more about her, they will have to read her book.

so she's been using the court system since she was 11? WOW!

and she got a good plug on her book.

I'm glad to see the judge stood up for teachers, they don't get paid nearly enough to put up with punks like that.

Wow what a great thing for a teacher to have happen.
I can only hope...to find someone that would help me.
Well that kid returned to school but he is not allowed in my classroom..however he is all over the school still starting trouble.
I wait and listen and you never know if I can make it thru the next six weeks of school wonder if he will.. cause I may be the next one going to court!

I feel almost guilty about having so much fun at work.

I'll be getting a couple of kids to help me finally finish our climbing wall. I was on course to begin the process of becoming a climbing instructor for an Outdoor Ed project the boss wants to offer. I even have a budget for my courses - not much, but still unusual for a mere teacher.
