She prolly could have gone just a few more years without hearing his name.

It was probably the first time she had left the house this decade.

Hasn't it been a while since BJ had a hit? On the charts at 93, but expect it to fall (and not be able to get up).

Yah, but geez, you could hardly get around in the 70's and 80's without hearing a Billy Joel song.

She was in a New York state of mind.

BTW, I don't think I would want Billy driving me anywhere. Isn't this his third crash or something?

In 1974 she was 63. I doubt she would have heard of him even then.

Think of four countries where great cars are made.

Betting that none of them is "France"...

yupp, you're right. it is a renault! I hitchhiked through france, and had to get into one of them more then once. It's an experience I tell ya. you would understand what I mean if you knew how the france people drive.

The particular car he was driving is a vintage model, and until impact with the house, in excellent condition. One more wreck within the year and he has to be retested.

That thing looks like a DuChevout(?)
They have a BMW-type two cylinder, air-cooled "boxer" engine.

When it comes to automobiles, the French copy no one and no one copies the French.

heehee, my dad's very first car (I can remember) was one of those. the door is the front... you know what i mean? it sort of opens the windshield... lol

I won't forget that car. he gave it away back then. Should've kept it...would be worth something today. his cars were always in tip top shape. no rust or anything. (don't know how he did it) but then...I was still little back then so tip top...could mean not tip top. :)
