Nah, I've used quite a few shotguns in my time.
A number of my college friends would go out on the South Downs and shoot rabbits from a banged up old landrover. Also would shoot clays.
My grandfather always had a shotgun. In fact there was a rusty old one sitting in our shed which I don't think was ever used. My dad turned it in during an amnesty.

Anyhow, I'm not in your little gang of boys, so I apologize for not knowing the right words for you.

Only an effete British socialist would "use" a gun. LOL! You've been busted, Y2.

A look at todays new lengths reminds me of how much better our kids do at finding ways to entertain themselves. In Florida, for example:

And in Tennessee:

I think I have Cometophobia.

Hey Y2, as long as you didn't abuse the guns it seems that using them is OK.

Cherophobia, I like that one!!

In other words, don't smack the gun around.

I might have Hoplophobia.
When my boys reached the teen years I sold the few guns that I had.

I had not used them in years and some of the kids' friends were kinda stupid.

It's really simple math......remove the possibility of a tragic "accident".

What a sad display. In looking back over the changes in the political landscape of the UK over the past 65 years it saddens me that we save them from Germany yet we seem to be incapable of saving them from themselves.

Who even said anything about WWII? I'm talking about how we helped them keep their freedom and they piss it away on socialism. They are more French-like than American-like. Not that I care as I dont live there. It just saddens me that's all.

It's also sad that many people in the greatest country are extreme right-wingers, out of step with the rest of the planet.

Lover of freedom = extrem-rightwinger?

If you say so dude.

History has shown that the freedoms people have the more they flourish. It has also shown that the more oppressive a government is the less they do so. But like I said, it’s not my country. Here we have over 37 states that allow concealed weapons carry and our crime is going down. In the UK the cops don’t even carry and crimes is going up. Draw your own conclusions and live in peace. As long as you don’t try to bring European socialism here we’ll get along fine.

If wanting my rights is “out of step” with the rest of the world then I’m not even getting in that line. The Christians, Gypsies and Jews got in line with the prevailing European power of their time and the only stepping they ended up doing was into the gas chambers.

Isn't Florida a concealed carry state? How is it those kids in pedxing's second link don't have a fear that they'll get shot?

You mean the freedom for a country to choose that it doesn't widespread gun ownership Nigal?
I guess it's not a freedom unless you agree with it.
Also don't trot out that totally irrelevant link between guns and crime in the UK and America. They are not the same places and the use of it as an example just shows ignorance as to what goes on in another country.

It's not true, and you'd struggle to any more than a handful of people who actually live in the UK who think so.

It's just wrong Mutt, and once again shows ignorance.

This really puts into perspective the British Socialist mind:

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2090-2033912,00.html

Katie Grant: Let’s cut to the chase: blades must be banned

As you walked down the street this morning to buy this paper, did you stop to wonder whether any of those you passed were carrying a knife? If you live in the west of Scotland, chances are that if you passed 20 young men aged between 15 and 25, almost all would have been carrying a “blade”, as the cool call them, for “protection”. Glasgow is more like The Sopranos than The Simpsons.

Knowing this, Cathy Jamieson, the justice minister, has announced that there is to be a nationwide knife amnesty running for a month, beginning in May.

[...]

Why not get behind a proper ban that nobody in their right mind would oppose? Eighteen-year-olds have no “right” to carry a knife in a society thatis no longer formed from hunter- gatherers living in caves.

A ban on buying a knife until you were 25 would not solve the problem of illegal sales to younger people, but it would surely be a useful adjunct to an amnesty and the effect rather more long- lasting.
