If you add their poles at 300g, then:

1.6 kg = 3.52 lbs

Not bad for a two person tent.

“oh I've got a tarp tent, just thought that the ME one looked nice is all. Can't justify a new tent to add to the several I have already. ME does do nice stuff though, I had a wonderful ME down bag, which I gave to a former girlfriend, and the beeyatch still has it. Wrong to ask for it back you think?
Oh and the ME in UK might be connected but does have a different range to the canadian one.
