One possibility is to cultivate other activities and relationships that are more acceptable to you and affirming of your values. That might include your "relationship" with your shack-up-sweetie. Turn off the computer, if necessary, and get more involved in "real" life. Cut off all contact with this man, letting him know you've decided to concentrate on getting your life together. How about hobbies, say, limericks or haiku?
