Yup, my first time posting on here, so I'm prepared for the talk from the rest of ya. I've recently relocated from Indiana to Idaho and it's great backpacking country. I must admit, I'm a drifter from "the other forum, so that's probably even worse on my part. You all sounded nice enough though.

I'm impressed, you all are much more social over here, but I'm afraid there aren't many Idaho area folks to hike with. Is that the case? It looks like mainly eastern U.S. people

I've never heard of you. And your a young, attractive female fresh out of college.

I'm leary of this one guys. Webpage with a bunch of hot pictures of her self and other chicks. Claims to have come from the other side. Oh well. You need a good hiking man to keep you safe in the backcountry? :P

Idaho is terrible. Sand, weeds etc.

Well, there are the Sawtooths, Ketchum and Wood River. Hell Canyon too, right. Montana close, Washington close, Utah not that far. Terrible place.

It's gorgeous, I'm been all around Idaho a lot, and there really aren't a lot of potatoes. I think most of the growers are in Southern Idaho and I stay up in Northern or Central ID. Rafting the Snake and Salmon and hiking around Clearwater NF and Frank Church Wilderness or other areas. It's incredible here.

RA, you might try NWHikers.net for a somewhat local forum (they are kind of wankish and cliquie but good info) Some posters from Idaho pop up eriodically (even though it is mostly WA posters.
If you ever get to WA, the PNWH (the Posse over on BP.com) is always doing trips :-)

MY EYES!!! IT BURNS!

Here's some of the gang packing up after another great fall retreat. Campus Crusade for Christ is an interdenominational Christ-centered organization that is worldwide! The campus of ISU is just one place where students can grow in their personal relationship with Christ and be built in their faith, then turn around to take the gospel to everyone across the world!

If you are in northern Idaho, you'll enjoy the Seven Devils, and the area around Priest Lake. The Bob Marshalls are up there, too. The hikers in Boise communicate via a list serve called idahooutdoors, which I think you can link into via this:

This group is for discussions about outdoor activities in
and around Idaho. It's based out of Boise, so we request
that you keep postings rellevent and nonabusive.
Please read:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/idahooutdoors/files/Disclaimer.txt

Its a Boise group, but they are always going on trips all over the state.

So I think someone should start a thread here or at the other side listing the personas and who they are at the other side. Am I being very clear? i.e. Dub=WVBackpacker

That would help me tremendously

You're right! I forgot about that. I don't go over there very often. Too boring.

I used to be vicsaw there, and after many months of not posting I went back and tried to post and found that I had been deleted so I had to create a new name, hence GrietGirl.

Hey, wait a minute. You told me to shut up! And you called me a troll! You owe me, Dubby!!
