What the hell?!
Why is it when I am channel surfing and I come across Antiques Road Show I am physically unable to keep pressing the button? I sit transfixed with rapt interest. I don’t collect antiques. I don’t even care about antiques. Yet here I sit incapable of movement. I smell a conspiracy!

Or am I gay and just don’t know it?

"How old is your TV?"

About 2 years old big screen. Does this add to my likelihood of being gay?

Maybe you need to move to Vegas and perform magic with exotic animals on stage. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

BIG screen?

Your priorities are misplaced.

Self flagellation would be approppriate penance.

Somebody say 'self-flagellation'?

In that case, here's an appropriate link (posted purely as a public service).

Nigal wants to get spanked by the Keno twins!

I hear they do it in the "Federal style."

I used to watch it a lot, but the thrill of watching some old guy nearly stroke out passes pretty quickly.

It was amusing to watch a guy as he found out that his painting was worth in the $25-30,000 range, then to hear him admit he had bought it at an estate sale for the frame, and had intended to toss the painting.

The best one I ever saw was the guy who brought in an old Navajo blanket, which he claimed had been owned by some famous Westerner, I think Jim Bridger. The appraiser said that without any provenance, that didn't affect the price, but it didn't matter since it was the earliest example of Navajo weaving he had ever seen, probably from before the 1840's, and was worth around $500,000. A national treasure, he called it. The old guy who brought it in nearly had a heart attack and said, "I just keep it folded and hung on the back of an old chair."

hmmm, the domination sounds like something right up your alley, Nigal! just admit, you love it.

i heart the Roadshow!!!!!!!

And with the new show Colonial House starting on May 17th the domination could reach such levels that I write a domination check to PBS. Nigal giving money to a non-profit liberal organization? Further proof that something ain’t right with PBS!

A hot colonial woman tied to a post with a scarlett letter on her chest? What's not to love about that? Now that's the kind of domination I can dig!

I'll bet what really nailed him was the appraiser saying that he needed to insure the blanket for $650,000....

what amazes me are the people who find they have a high priced item and then say, "Oh, I'd never sell it.". I'd be selling that thing as soon as I could!

Quiche is good, but I haven't made one in 20 years I bet. I used to have a pretty good recipe for quiche lorraine, but I lost it.

It's pretty easy though. The recipe was something like, one medium onion diced, one cup shredded cheddar cheese, one cup shredded jack cheese, a couple cups of milk, three eggs, one cup diced ham, salt, pepper, and a pre-formed crust. You mix up the cheeses, onion, and ham, then make a custard out of the eggs and milk. Make a big mound out of the cheese, onion and ham mix in the middle of the crust, then pour the custard into the middle. Bake in an oven, I'd guess at about 375F, for who knows? 20 minutes? I can't remember. Maybe longer.

I oughta do a little experimenting.

My favorite tv show bar none is pbs' "Nature" it's on at 8pm, Sundays here. I dig it. This weekend's show was on seeds.

Anyone else notice the distinct difference in the Keno twins compared to the first season of roadshow? They're all hip and stuff now. I swear they wear make up too.

Our cable will probably go as soon as Summer really rolls in. PBS is the only good stuff on TV once the history channel, food network, etc are gone (for kids and adults!).
