These are from my hike on Mother's day with evergreen.
I had a blast and if anyone can help me with the proper names of the flowers in the photos I would appreciate it.

I always enjoy checking out other people's pics. It gives me ideas of some other places I want to go. You guys have a ton of places in western NC

Yes I figure I could live here the rest of my days and if I choose to I could never hike a trail over twice.

flower names
Great pix! Thanks for sharing them. Looks like you ladies had a fine time! Good way to celebrate Mothers Day.

I'm going to try to tell you what your flowers are.
Red flower= red trillium (wake robin)
White flower with red stripe in center= Painted trillium
The glossy green flowers you photo'd in huge masses...... are Clinton's lillies. They will have either a pretty yellow or white bloom. I've never seen THAT many in one place before!
The pink and white shrub I believe may be Sand myrtle. I am 98% sure. Can't see the leaves and blooms in great detail. Looks like what grows up on Mt. LeConte.
Tiny purple flower among green leaves= violet
The fringey leaves with the cuts and the blue cast are probably Dutchmans Breeches. they aren't blooming but their bloom season is past by several weeks. Hope that helps.

there's a great wildflowe database out there, the url is: http://www.2bnthewild.com/

I like it because you can even search by flower color.
