IF I can get off work Monday, a couple of my nephews and I are going to take a little private family backpack in N. GA and do another AT section this weekend.”

“I wanted to do that last summer but it fell through. maybe next spring sometime after the thru hikers move out somewhat.

what's your timing look like Carlette?”

“...to start...but realistically not certain I can begin this year.”

“The start of the AT would make a great TT weekend trip. Maybe this fall we could get a trip up?”

Best I can hope for is sections, maybe 4 or 5 days at a time.

I'd like to do a weekend starting at Springer though, late Oct or Nov would be good.”

“Scorch, we'll think of you as all 15 of us are chillin in camp at night around a campfire, checking out the super gear sales at all the vendors boothes including bbinkley's, eating all the wonderful town food, and meeting all the thru-hikers. We'll be thinking of you and how you're inside, sitting in the same chair for three hours waiting to walk across a stage for your 15 seconds of fame after five years of hard labor, only to be rewarded with them saying your name wrong and handing you a piece of paper telling you to get off the stage where you will sit another 2 hours until all the names are read. ;-) I'll be sure to soak up some of the warm sunshine and breath in some extra of the crisp mountain air--just for you :p
