I celebrated my birthday on the second night of a week long trek down the West Coast Trail on Vancouver Island. The weather was fantastic ! It's so dry that the mud hardly went over my boots.

I'll try to have some photos together by the weekend.......”

“Hah! You mean the "Wet" Coast Trail was the "Dry" Coast Trail??!!”

“Yup, except for a couple of showers in camp, on the first night, we had nothing but sun. It's already drier up here than it was last year. Looks like we're in for another bad fire season”

“Ugh, that's a bummer. We got zippo rain this spring, which is actually good, I think. It will stunt the growth of the grasses, etc. that usually get some moisture in April and May, so there should be less fuel. Although somehow someone comes up with some logic that every imaginable scenario results in a worse fire season than last....

Got those photos organized yet?”

“waiting on the photos ....patiently....well, sorta.......ok...ok...so I am a little impatient....
