anyone know what the northermost 5,000 foot summit that is south of New York ( I know there a none in WVA, MD, PA, NJ, and DE duh)?

Are there any fivers north of the Grayson Highlands?

I won't bet the farm on it, but I'd say there is nothing over 5000' between Mt Rogers and the Adirondacks.

There is a hell of a lot of buttkicking 3k and 4k'ers in between though.

I believe Rogers and Whitetop may be 5k-ers, but north of that, there isn't much until you get to either Northern NY or Northern New England.

Yeah, that is what I've been thinking too. I'm trying to find what the closest fiver is to me.

Definately true though. The 3k's and 4k's should not be overlooked. Old Rag at 3k is one of the most buttkick'n mountains in the east.
