Classic KerryView Messages“Kerry's nomination will take place on July 29th. He is considering delaying acceptance in order to garner more money for himself. Saying one thing and doing another is what this guy is all about. This is a huge mistake in judgement. One of many of course.” 6:02:17 PM 5/21/04 Miss spin pack “Kerry would be subject to federal campaign financing caps five weeks earlier than Bush if he accepts the nomination at the Democratic National Convention July 26-29. The Republicans have scheduled their convention for August 30 to Sept. 2. ``You don't want to give the other side an extra month to raise and spend unlimited money,'' said J. Quin Monson, assistant director of the Center for the Study of Elections and Democracy at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. ``It sounds like a very pragmatic decision.'' link” 6:06:27 PM 5/21/04 “So reschedule the convention. Not accepting the nomination is just one more example of Kerry trying to cheat the system.” 6:08:57 PM 5/21/04 “How's it cheating?” 6:10:45 PM 5/21/04 “It is surcumventing the law.” 6:12:05 PM 5/21/04 “This will blow up in his face.” 6:12:41 PM 5/21/04 “Maybe, but it still won't mess up his hair.” 6:15:11 PM 5/21/04 “Of course not. The Democrats hold President Bush personally responsible for actions of soldiers in Iraq, but they will give Kerry a pass for deliberately circumventing the laws of the United States.” 6:29:59 PM 5/21/04 “I hope Kerry realizes how many pollutants he releases into the atmosphere every time he uses hair spray.” 6:31:33 PM 5/21/04 “One could as easily argue that Bush is circumventing the law by not having accepting the republican nomination at the same time Kerry accepts the democratic. It's a pretty dull take on it. The Democratic nomination is not legally required to take place at any particular time.” 6:32:09 PM 5/21/04 “Oh, and here's a flash of news for the incredibly dense: Bush is commander-in-chief.” 6:33:25 PM 5/21/04 “Heck, if it gets you guys this bent out of shape, I hope they reschedule the convention three or four more times!” 6:34:40 PM 5/21/04 “You are correct Phaedy. The Democrats can chose their time and place... ...or they can deliberately cheat the system. There must be some advantage to going first or the Democrats would wait until election day to hold the convention. Ya think????” 6:36:15 PM 5/21/04 “Phaed, regardless, I read this is unprecedented, as in it has never happened before. Hopefully it will also be unpresidented. I think he just wants to play ketchup with G-Dub's cashola since he's still a little beheinz right now. This is a way he can mustard up more moolah. - Buck (Mayo 21, 2004) IT'S FRIIIIIDDDDAAAAAAYYYY!!!” 6:36:44 PM 5/21/04 “The money may help, but the damage is done. John Kerry is always looking to screw the system. I predicted he would self destruct, but I never thought it would happen so soon.” 6:41:28 PM 5/21/04 “Uh, bacpac, I reall don't think rescheduling the democratic convention is going to be the damaging death-knell you think it is. It's not like he took the country to war under false pretenses or something.” 6:47:33 PM 5/21/04 “Wait a minute, they're going to have the convention at the scheduled time, but he's not going to accept the nomination until Bush accepts his. How is this not fair?” 6:50:15 PM 5/21/04 “I am not trying to convince you Phaedy, but this is a huge plus for the Bush campaign. I love it.” 6:50:36 PM 5/21/04 “http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/05/21/kerry.nomination/ "Karl Rove and his political army strategically selected the latest convention in American political history in order to stack the deck against Democrats, who would be forced to survive on public money for five additional weeks while the GOP continued to spend their special-interest war chest," the source said, referring to a top Bush adviser. LOL! A huge plus for the Bush campaign! ROFL!” 6:52:26 PM 5/21/04 “I love it. bacpac gets her panites in a twist, only to find out that she's wrong again. It's a move because Rove picked the lastest date possible for the Repub Convention. Rove wanted the Dems to spend outta public money for the five months. By choosing a late date, such as Rove has, they can spend the blunt of there special interest cash, while the Dems HAVE to spend public. I thought you guys would APPROVE of this move; it smacks of a RIGHT move, no? Getting beat at yer own game will be the sweet dish served to you. Mr. and Mrs. Strat Thorp: Party of two, right this way....” 6:57:40 PM 5/21/04 Ultra-spin cycle! “"Only John Kerry could be for a nominating convention, but be against the nomination," Ken Mehlman, the Bush-Cheney campaign manager, said in a written statement. "This is just the latest example of John Kerry's belief that the rules are for other people, not for him." My GOD! These guys are reaching for any possible crap to fling in hopes that something will stick and make people forget for a second about the odor coming off their candidate. People who haven't decided on their vote yet aren't going to be swayed by this unless they're idiots. And if that's the case, they should be voting for Bush anyway!” 7:04:24 PM 5/21/04 “IDIOTS FOR BUSH! Hey, we'll take any vote we can get. I may be dumb, but I'm ugly.” 7:10:30 PM 5/21/04 “Hey, you said it, not me. ;)” 7:12:41 PM 5/21/04 And now, time for...... “Leave It To Buck! In this weeks episode, Buck has a little problem spinning the last admission from the US Gubment, reagarding the secret interrorgation (oppps! did I just say inTERRORgation?!?! Silly me!) room at "Saddam International Airport". Let's listen in.....” 7:15:34 PM 5/21/04 “President Bush. Strength and confidence. Steady leadership in times of change. He knows exactly where he wants to lead this country. And he won't let facts, circumstances, or the Constitution get in his way. WASHINGTON /U.S. NEWSWIRE/ February 4 —As President Bush touts his "Healthy Forests Initiative" around the West, Defenders of Wildlife today asked Americans to look beyond the President's rhetoric to the very real and devastating impact of his environmental policies. "The Bush administration keeps circumventing the laws requiring environmentally and publicly acceptable management of our national forests. The good news is that the courts have generally stopped them cold," said Schlickeisen. "But the bad news is that they continue with a full court press within the bureaucracy to rewrite regulations against the public and the environment in favor of corporate interests." Seizing Dictatorial Power By WILLIAM SAFIRE WASHINGTON -- Misadvised by a frustrated and panic-stricken attorney general, a president of the United States has just assumed what amounts to dictatorial power to jail or execute aliens. Intimidated by terrorists and inflamed by a passion for rough justice, we are letting George W. Bush get away with the replacement of the American rule of law with military kangaroo courts. In his infamous emergency order, Bush admits to dismissing "the principles of law and the rules of evidence" that undergird America's system of justice. He seizes the power to circumvent the courts and set up his own drumhead tribunals — panels of officers who will sit in judgment of non-citizens who the president need only claim "reason to believe" are members of terrorist organizations. Setback for Bush Plan for Roadbuilding Across Wilderness Washington, May 18 -- The first test of a controversial Bush Administration rule designed to ease highway construction through wilderness areas, national parks, and other protected federal lands suffered an embarrassing setback last week. The rule opens the door for states to claim that long-abandoned trails and paths are under state -- not federal -- jurisdiction, meaning that states could therefore develop them as highways... In this case, the administration resorted to an 1866 mining law -- known as R.S. 2477-- to circumvent the need to prove the validity of a claim in court or undergo environmental review and public participation. The new rule shifts the decision-making from the courts to the Interior Department's Bureau of Land Management, and eliminates the public's traditional right to challenge whether a valid right-of-way exists. CONSERVATION GROUPS OPPOSE CONTROVERSIAL BUSH PROPOSAL TO WEAKEN PESTICIDE PROTECTIONS FOR ENDANGERED SPECIES Washington, DC — Leading conservation groups submitted official comments today opposing a Bush administration proposal aimed at shutting federal fish and wildlife experts out of EPA decisions regarding pesticide use. The regulations respond to a series of successful lawsuits by environmentalists that were based on the EPA’s failure to consult with the wildlife agencies on the impacts of pesticides to wildlife. Instead of working to comply with the law and protect wildlife, high level officials in the Bush Administration chose to craft a way to circumvent the law. WASHINGTON -- Senate Democrats and Republicans assailed Bush administration officials yesterday for submitting a vaguely worded request to add $25 billion to pay for operations in Iraq and Afghanistan beginning Oct. 1. The new funding would be added to the more than $400 billion already sought for military uses worldwide in fiscal 2005. But lawmakers complained bitterly that the request lacked specific details and sought to circumvent the Senate's oversight role. 7:20:32 PM 5/21/04 What's So Wrong About It? “I call that "working" the system, NOT cheating it.” 7:32:29 PM 5/21/04 “Agreed. Especially in the face of opposition that has done the same basic thing.” 7:41:35 PM 5/21/04 “all I know is that Kerry likes puppies, kittens and all fuzzy baby animals. He loves me and would kiss my daughter. He nice and`swell. Bush is mean and stinky. He doesnt floss and jaywalks, plus he kicked a puppy once. I heard he had relations with a monkey.” 7:59:46 PM 5/21/04 “"I heard he had relations with a monkey......" I respectful disagree...... That was Reagan! LOL!!!” 8:19:59 PM 5/21/04 “ REASON TO BELIEVE (Tim Hardin) If I listened long enough to you I'd find a way to believe that it's all true. Knowing that you lied straight-faced while I cried. Still I look to find a reason to believe. Someone like you makes it hard to live without somebody else. Someone like you makes it easy to give, never think of myself. If I gave you time to change my mind I'd find a way to leave the past behind Knowing that you lied straight-faced while I cried. Still I look to find a reason to believe. Wink Wink Nod Nod. Just what we need a lying, cheating, crook for President.” 9:57:51 PM 5/21/04 “"Just what we need a lying, cheating, crook for President....." BWAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAH!!!!! Shirley, you can't be serious....” 10:29:03 PM 5/21/04 “That Is Freakin Hilarious -- If Kerry is Nixon, then Dubya is Iosif Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili.” 10:33:02 PM 5/21/04 “Kerry is Kerry. That is the beauty of this election.” 10:37:44 PM 5/21/04 “Truthfully, I don't see much 'beauty' in the cards for this election. Once the nominations are official and the election becomes less of a distant future event, this may just get real ugly. America is pretty divided right now and passions are, at times, borderlining on a fever pitch. The reality of it is, the man who wins this election may just be in for a bumpy ride over the next four years. If Kerry gets in, he is going to be under a microscope to show something tangible to the world that will make a difference in some pretty complicated issues. If he really wants to undo some of the things he sees as misguided in the current administration's policies, he is in for an uphill battle that will require a lot of perserverance. If Bush is re-elected, he will be under enormous pressures to show the international community, as well as the American people, that there was some method to his madness. Patience can grow very thin in the next four years.” 10:48:17 PM 5/21/04 “Kerry should be under pressure now to show something 'tangible'. I don't think he is. What are his plans???” 10:55:05 PM 5/21/04 “Going negative is, unfortunately, the status quo of a political campaign nowadays. You are not going to hear sound bites that are 'in context' or media blitzes that are not partisan and negative. I don't care which side you're on. So, to get to the positives, you have to dig a little more. Bush's agenda is common knowledge, so he is comfortable with just touting what he and his speople believe are his strong points. Kerry is still trying to define himself as a viable candidate. That is true. A lot of folks are voting against the other guy rather than for their guy. That is also true. The lesser of two evils, as the old saying goes. It won't be the first election that lots of the electorate vote that way...” 11:02:47 PM 5/21/04 “Let's go positive. Has your community tax revenue increased this year?” 11:06:54 PM 5/21/04 “Let's talk reality. Kerry is a devout Catholic, who practices communion and photo ops on Ash Wednsday, but goes against Vatican policy on abortion.” 11:59:35 PM 5/21/04 “Bush calls himself a Christian, but he started a war that has killed thousands of people for no apparent reason. The lowest estimates I've seen are in the 5 to 6000 range. Estimates for the wounded and maimed are much much higher. Way Ta Go, Junior. And Slacpac whining about negativity? Good God. That's like Pete Townsend complaining that the music is too loud.” 1:37:02 AM 5/22/04 “Missy.....uh, if Kerry followed the Vatican, you'd be whining. Your agrument is still very juvenile. I'll leave your limpness alone. Sorry if it aroused anger in you.” 6:14:44 AM 5/22/04 “The official restaurant of the Kerry Campaign.
>”6:28:10 AM 5/22/04 “Cool! I love that place! I'll take two waffles and a side of bacon.” 8:57:20 AM 5/22/04 “My oh my, grasping at straws again are we bacpac? Here is a substantial cheating the system issue.” 9:10:01 AM 5/22/04 1:22:43 PM 5/23/04 “Hey...cool picture Nigal. Is that you sitting in the booth by the mens room?” 3:01:19 PM 5/23/04 “Deliberately circumventing the law during a Presidential campaign will damage Kerry, but more damaging is his Congressional voting record.” 7:14:48 AM 5/24/04
