“So last summer I got bit really bad up at Rainier on a backpacking trip. I quit counting after hitting 100 bites. My left arm looked like I had been blistered-there were so many bites in a 6" section of skin.
So now, periodically, I have these lumps that show up on my left elbow that itch like crazy! And they look like new bites (but they aren't). Then they disapear eventually.
Has anyone had this happen to them?
Btw, that elbow had like 40 bites-so I am wondering-did some toxin stay behind?”

“Yeah, I get that once in a while around my elbow. Never thought much of it. Probably not from skeeter bites because I have never been attacked like you describe. If you figure out what it is, let me know!”

“They just appear as bumps on my elbow and itch like the bejezus. It will do this like one or two days a month (right around my period). Doesn't do it on my right elbow though. Of course I didn't get bit half as bad on my right elbow.
The mosquito attack was so bad that my boyfriend made me wear long sleeve tops because he claimed it made him queasy to see the welts on my arms (yeah, it was such a bad attack we cut our backpack trip in half)
Whatever it is, it is bugging the *&^% out of me today! Agh! At least the Benadryl gel stuff helps.

Of course I could, like, go to a Dr.....but it's more fun to wonder :-P”

“You wernt wearing Polyester were you?? When I wear certain types of polyester clothes ,like my fleeced poly thermals I get hives bad!! Sometimes several hours after Ive changed and cleaned up.I sat there one night and my whole left side got hives all over it and itched like the devil ,then about an hour or so later they went away and I got hives on my right leg. Im allergic to certain types of poly I guess. It might be whats happening to you too.”

I was wearing Coolmax yesterday and sweating like a horse going up a steep hillside.
Other weird things I have noticed about myself:
I have numerous tattoos and the ink in some of them "floats"-that somedays the ink is flat, and somedays I can feel the ink-I can feel the tattoo 3D like on my skin. Always happens around my period.
Methinks I am an oddity :-P”

“Not usually. After having a kid via "natural childbirth" I find that period cramps don't hurt too much :-P (That and I can complain then about my miseries ...hehheh!!)
