Kiddos listen up,
At wally world (where mike and I were getting our trail food for the weekend) We came across rice in pouches that looked very nifty. Its already cooked and all you need to do (without opening the package) is boil water and put the bag in to heat it up. Mike got the jumbalia flavor and I got roasted chiken flavor. Will try em out and see how good they really are. :)

9.3 oz.
I have a pouch of the Zatarain's New Orleans Style Red Beans & Rice I'm taking kayak camping. On my scale, it is 9.3 oz.

Jambalaya, you silly yankee person!

By the way, those pouches of fully cooked ground beef at Wally World came in at 11.1 oz.

Those cooked beef pouches are NASTY! At least the one I tried a couple of weeks ago - it was Italian flavor and WAY WAY WAY overflavored.

Maybe the regular is ok, but all i ever see is Mexican and Italian.

yeah those beef pouches are nasty. I had regular before and didnt' like it too much either.

the rice isnt' too bad, but I think it's pretty heavy.

My favorite is still the sweet and spicy tuna. cook up some lipton noodles...mmmmmm

What's in your food?
Cook charged with contaminating food

Waterloo, IL, Jun. 4 (UPI) -- A former Illinois cook has been charged with aggravated battery for allegedly contaminating food and watching customers eat it, police say.

Anthony J. Lindhorst, 26, of Waterloo, allegedly put semen in the honey-mustard dressing served with chicken strips at a Denny's restaurant, said Capt. Suzanne Sweet of the Waterloo police.

Sweet said Lindhorst worked at Denny's in Waterloo for about a year until he was fired in April for bringing brownies laced with marijuana to work.

The incidents occurred in November and April, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch said. On both occasions, Lindhorst targeted "people that he didn't like, for one reason or another," Sweet said.

A judge in Monroe County this week found probable cause for Lindhorst to stand trial on four counts of aggravated battery.
