Car camping is equivelant...
to canoe camping...its all the same gear, without the canoe. That stuff NEVER gets unpacked and rarely leaves my vehicle, except for restocking and drying, but, then goes right back into the bags and then into the car.

One time we went camping.......took us 2 hours to unload the van...I said NEVER again.....I downsized!!!!

The rubbermaid tubs are a must!!!not only do they keep everything dry, but if sealed properly they keep racoons out.......and you can sit one on your cooler and keep the racoons out of there!!!

The best thing to do when interested in going car camping is to buy a car for camping! Go get yerselves a VW camper bus, stock it up with everything you'd ever want or need and when it's time to go throw some firewood, Beer, food, beer, beer and clothes in and GO! =) Car camping is fun. Especially when beer is involved.

Local campgrounds around here don't have any raccoons. I think they were all made into hats back in the 50s....

you can hide a squirt gun REALLY easy...unless it leaks out into your pants.....and then everyone will think you had an accident!!!!
