I think it got updated last winter, so it's prolly mostly accurate.” 10:05:30 PM 6/03/04 “Yup we need to do a TT Vogel Hike or something maybe later in the year...” 10:16:53 PM 6/03/04 “Alabama...up Huntsville way...” 10:22:42 PM 6/03/04 “You guessed it, Alabama. Near the Sipsey Wilderness on the north side. BAMA” 10:24:34 PM 6/03/04 “Bit isn't it a little past your bedtime? TT can be a dangerous place at night.” 10:31:41 PM 6/03/04 “lol...I'm up a little late tonight. Besides, I have to get my fix, I'm going car camping for a couple days, won't be back until Sunday.” 10:34:59 PM 6/03/04 “rox, not very many TTers near you or me. got to travel to find those little boogers.” 11:34:15 PM 6/03/04 “Hey Rox, I am in Middle TN, but end up in East TN, and Western NC hiking all the time. And by the way, thanks for posting the pix from your last hike; had me with my Pisgah map out in no time:)” 3:30:21 AM 6/04/04 “Central FLA here! I'd love to do some north Ga hikes.” 3:58:24 AM 6/04/04 “you rang? sure is dark outside.” 3:59:30 AM 6/04/04 “Your welcome Bill... Those last photos were from the Nadahala wilderness area... just beautiful. Check out Snowbird wilderness area also. Yeah I wanted to see who would just give a shout out on this post.. get up a hike in Ga..would be great.” 6:40:20 AM 6/04/04 7:46:50 AM 6/04/04 “North Florida” 7:47:29 AM 6/04/04 “Nash-vegas, along with my babe Michelle. Us moving to Nashville shifted the seat of TT power from Huntsville. Plan on seeing us in the smokies more and more” 7:51:54 AM 6/04/04 “Opie, we need to get together since I have moved. I am out in the Green Hills area of town now.” 9:19:17 AM 6/04/04 “East Central AL. I'll be in the Smokies next weekend...hoorah!!!” 9:44:42 AM 6/04/04 “Born in Louisiana; grew up in Alabama; went to school in Tennessee; live in Arkansas. Do I qualify as a southern boy.” 9:45:24 AM 6/04/04 “you lost being Southern when you moved to Arkansas” 9:49:39 AM 6/04/04 “I have seen more conferderate flags in Arkansas than I have seen in Mississippi and Alabama combined.” 10:00:28 AM 6/04/04 “How do you like Arkansas, Chili?” 10:06:47 AM 6/04/04 “Chili I say your more southern than I am.” 10:12:25 AM 6/04/04 “You're all southerners to me.” 10:13:28 AM 6/04/04 “I didn't know you were in Hartsell Divinity. BWAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHA BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!! sorry :D Auburn feller here. War Eagle!” 10:38:57 AM 6/04/04 “Phaedrus, saying I live in Arkansas is almost a misnomer. I live closer to downtown Memphis than about 75% of the rest of the metro population. The flatland hell part of the Delta I live is unremarkable. However, being able to sit on my backporch, drink coffee and see nothing but crop land has a certain soothing quality to it. I can be downtown for dinner; bball games; entertainment in about 20 minutes and no traffic on way home. There is only one redlight between me and the north south trolley downtown. So, how do I like Arkansas? Hell, it is a lot better than the East Memphis burbs, but the better part of the state starts about 100 miles west of me.” 10:45:07 AM 6/04/04 “ ” 10:45:33 AM 6/04/04 “Once you cross the Mississippi, you're from the Southwest, LOL” 10:47:19 AM 6/04/04 “Actually, Arkansas cases are still reported in the Southwest Reporter.” 10:54:56 AM 6/04/04 “The link to Phil's page actually doesn't list everyone that has said they are in the South. Needs an update.” 11:02:44 AM 6/04/04 juztyn1 “Where are you down there? My family lives in Cochran. I'm a Nashvillian now.” 12:53:30 PM 6/04/04 TENNESSEE “The greatest state in the South. Borders more states than any other. On one extreme you have Memphis, the Mississippi delta and Reelfoot Lake that by the way was created by the largest earthquake known to modern man. Middle Tennessee (where I live and my family has lived since early 1800's)with its rolling hills, Civil War battle sites, Tennessee Walking Horses, and don't forget great BBQ! Then you have the Cumberland Plateau and the great hiking oppurtunities close by with the Cumberland Trail under Construction. Next is the upper Tennessee Valley and some of the best dry fly fishing in the South! Then the southern range of the Applachians with North and South Cherokee Forests and of course the Smokies. What a great place to live, even tho it is the only place I have ever lived I could only just visit any other state.” 4:16:30 PM 6/04/04 “puh-leeze” 4:19:49 PM 6/04/04 “I tend to differ with you Karo...NC is the best....lmao...come on admit it!” 6:19:54 PM 6/04/04 “Tell Phil. And you are welcome.” 7:04:13 PM 6/04/04 “I do love the mountains of NC and ya'll do have a seacoast and all, but it doesn't compare to the Gulf Coast or the Atlantic coast of Florida. Ya'll are also home to most of the Nascar teams, and some great tracks not to mention the great hiking and fishing there. But my family moved from the Carolinas in 1810 and this is home and will always be home to me. Tilt, I don't aim to please! Just my 2 cents worth.” 8:41:58 PM 6/04/04 “Helo, I live in northeast Mississippi in Corinth. It's mostly a backpacker-free zone with exception of Big Hill Pond SP in Tennessee and the Sipsey Wilderness in Alabama. Some recent conversations have led me to believe that that I'm not the only one in the area, and I'm working on figuring out who the others are.” 10:47:00 PM 6/04/04 “by local area i mean town” 10:47:32 PM 6/04/04 “your welcome backpackmule... ah but I do like the NC shore...and the NC mtns...but I can do without the racing...at all times” 1:09:25 AM 6/05/04 “If only the mountains were lots closer to the coast... Neuse River, Pamlico Sound, Outerbanks....” 3:16:19 AM 6/05/04 “Sooooo what about a hike planned in Ga..maybe STone mtn or Blood mtn?” 2:07:29 PM 6/05/04 “Blood Mtn would be good....” 3:47:55 PM 6/05/04 btw, Karo “I gotta take issue with the BBQ thing. The best BBQ found in the southeast, if not the world, can only be found in good ole Memphis TN. Down by the river on 2nd St. about a half block north of Union Ave. little place called the Rendezveus.” 3:49:21 PM 6/05/04 “I beg to differ...we have the world champion in Decatur Alabama...Big Bob Gibsons....yummmmm” 4:14:37 PM 6/05/04 “Roam...maybe I will check it out on my way to Missouri!!!” 4:17:43 PM 6/05/04 “Sonnys' barbacue in North and South carolina” 8:44:44 PM 6/05/04 “While Roam Around certainly knows his BBQ, IMHO, the best BBQ comes from the little BBQ pits all over the south on the backroads. Places where they slap BBQ/Slaw/Sauce on a bun and serve it on piece of buther paper.” 10:33:27 AM 6/06/04
