Yes, the Geobeet family will be indulging in scrapple for breakfast, perhaps with blueberry pancakes or breakfast burritos, depending on the whims of the cook(s).

One more time regarding contest rules, if I may.

We will be receiving a pre-ordained time to bring our entree to Party Central for judging, correct?

Question: What portion are we presenting to the judges? If I'm making, say, a rack of ribs, do I bring the entire rack to the Judging tent, or just a smaller portion of the entree for the judges? I will be making enough to share with everyone, I'm just wondering if you bring the whole mess to the judges tent or just a dressed up portion of the entree strictly for the judgung?
Capn Bobo

you bring it all to scorchfire's tent.

Bobo, Bobo, Bobo!
I will re-post fromn the beginning. Here are the rules. We're looking for simplicity, yet with a touch of elegance here! lol

We're less than a month away...
"...so let's start with a few guidelines and although some may have a few axes to grind (or a few throats to cut), we will try to not cloud this with lots of complications.
Remember these guidelines are a starting point and open to amending from the general populice here...

1. The cook-off will be held on Saturday, July 17th, 2004 Time: TBA

2. Your choice of dish need not be pre-announced

3. Your method of cooking is strictly up to you

4. Desserts, side dishes and the like are welcome as are entrees*

* Note that traditionally, entrees may get more attention by nature and may increase your chances of winning the contest, but the choice is arbitrary

5. All entries will be coordinated to be presented at one uniform time

6. Harrassment of last year's champion, or sabotage of his entry this year is strictly prohibited without the expressed, written consent of the commissioner"

"Well, I think this should be a pretty freewheeling thing like last year, except with a few modifications so I don't get verbally lynched again by the 'Phildelphia Food Fighters Freestyle Lamb Chop Ring'!

But, the truth is, there's no need to impose a lot of restrictions. We are all pretty much relegated to BBQing. So, the method is all going to be similar. The food you bring is arbitrary. The only other real detailsis how you prepare. So, carry in what you need and do your stuff!"

Bobo, the other thing is that we can each opt for bringing enough to pass around, but nobody's obligated to that. It is kinda fun to sample a little bit of this and a little bit of that across the board. It's a fun way to stuff your face. I will be making a lot, but I think the best idea for the judgment phase is to make a test batch at first, if possible. The judge doesn't need to gouge himself on a wholke rack of ribs to get the idea. Let common sense dictate the rest and we can keep it simple and fun, ok?
