So, let's see, we have about a half dozen for the cook-off so far. Wonder if Lyndy is going to participate? She will probably chime in pretty soon.

Geo, what about Paul? Is he up for this?

My dear dear virtual friend Tango,
let me help you by telling you that you must accept defeat. Accept that you are beaten NOW so you don't walk around like a gloomy gus all week because you had the perception that you could beat "Chef Bobo" in the cookoff kitchen. I think at best my dear, perhaps you should put down your paper mache chef hat and come work for me. Yes! You could dab my forehead with a moist towelette as I prepare the winning dish and then you could say you were part of the winning team!

Remember, the best chefs in the world are MEN.

With Love,
Bobo

But it was only ONE thread!
ScorchFire
8:26:51 AM
6/17/04

First of all, yes, Scorchy. I wanted a separate thread for the cook-off, and I deliberately waited until now to get it started. The cook-off needs to be dealt with and I didn't want the posts to get lost in the almost 3 grand worth of posts on the other thread. It's only fair that all participants get to communicate about this and keep it a little more concise.

Gem, Ithaca has no bugs. They all go to Florida for the summer. And black people don't sweat up there, so we'll see you there! :)

Jack, good questions! Let me address them one at a time.

First, you need not feed everyone if it is not practical to do so. You will, however, need enough to feed the judge(s), and, I assume, your own crew (and Pumba). If you choose to prepare more and want to divvy up some so others can get a taste of that delicious stuff you are conjuring up, then I say, Let's Party!

Second, you can prepare a sauce at home. Mine last year was a concoction of about 20 different sauces that went on my delicious, scrumptious, delectible, satisfying, Emeril Lugasi quality ribs that Geo said he would gladly cede the crown to me over. I chose not to bring all those bottles with me as I would have no room in the cooler to store all those half filled bottles once I was done with it. Now, unless someone has a problem with doing that, I am suggesting that preparing a sauce at home is ok. Truth is, it's in how you cook it once you are there that will win you the crown!
