Snow is melting way fast in the Cascades. Here's what it looked like at Snow Lake (4016'), near Snoqualmie Pass on Friday. the lake is still partially frozen, and the trails are snowcovered in protected areas, but the snow won't last much longer. We saw no one once we dropped over the ridge and headed for Gem Lake - the trail is easy to lose.
