Some of us we'll be going up there for the 'All about the Kids' trip on N. Manitou. Can ya make it? If not, maybe you could car camp with us the night before?

Anyhow, I would really love to join you all or at least meet you somewhere for a night, but I think schedule-wise it won't work. I am going to sork on that though, and see what I can figure out.”

Sleeping Bear Dunes is a pretty nice place. There are dozens of great dayhikes, two islands you can take a ferry too, a primitive campground and much more "civilized" campground. There is a good river for a canoe trip, dune climbs, and if you bike, the roads in that area are first rate cycling. Some of the towns around there are interesting, but fudgy, lol.

IMO, There is more to see there for a multi-day car camping trip than most places.”
