Mascots on the trail?

“Does anyone pack with a fav trinket/action figure or super hero on the trail. something to keep you company on solo trips?”

“I've heard Artex makes stick men.”

“It has become a tradition of mine to bring Yoda on all my hikes. He is very wise, and I think he wards off bears... oh, that could be my snoring.”

“8 to 10 in. fixed blade knife”

“Where do you camp that a K-bar is on the packin list?”

“everywhere east of the mississippi river”

“Shoooweee! That's a lotta knife. I don't use a knife that big at home in the kitchen.”

“all of my pistols are to heavy for backpacking”

“Yeah, i never hike with my pistols. Not because of their weight (when I was in the Ranger Bn my pack weight was literally ten times what it is now) but because....why in the funk would I need a pistol to go backpacking?”

“chipmunks are very lethal”

“So are rabbits with those nasty fangs”

“I take a flask of bourbon.”

“Usually Jack Daniels, sometimes I like something lighter like Buffalo Trace. Sometimes Irish Wiskey, maybe Bushmills or Tullemore Dew.”

“I prefer Southern Comfort. It tastes like Kool-Aid. Whiskey flavored Kool-Aid.”

“I take Herky the Hawkeye with me. He is 7 ft. tall and likes to slam the other mascots into the goalposts. He is also good at push-ups when Iowa scores.
