Trip pics..better late than never. “As some of you already know, I recently completed an 18 day, 230 mile hike of the AT in Pennsylvania. I started at the Mason-Dixon Line (Pen-Mar Park) and hiked north to Delaware Water Gap. I was out for 18 days, but actually hiked for only 15 of those days. I took 3 days to spend in trail towns just for the "total" experience. I enjoyed the trip so much, I'm wishing I was still heading north. It most definitely gives me a greater respect for our TT people that are on the trail now doing a thru-hike. I finally have managed to post my pics to webshots. They are posted in sequential order from start to finish. Hope you enjoy. The following link will take you directly to the pics: http://community.webshots.com/album/156641307OCQFCh” 10:01:35 PM 6/26/04 “Awesome shots! What did u name ur pet cicada? LOL” 10:13:38 PM 6/26/04 “GREAT pictures. Thanks.” 11:06:21 PM 6/26/04 “Scorchie...I named my pet Cicada just for you. His name is Aftershock....big, glassy, red eyes and always buzzed !!!LMAO...” 6:51:21 AM 6/27/04 “LMAO!!!! Good one!! Always the guy for one liners.” 9:06:23 AM 6/27/04 8:13:44 AM 6/28/04 “Mr. Packer, Great Pics! You did a nice job capturing a glimpse of the essence of the PA AT, althought I thought you would have thrown in a couple more "rocks from hell" pictures. You were probably too busy negotiating the rock edges to take your camera out! Looks like for the most part you had decent weather. Nice, I'm drooling... I've done all of the PA-AT in sections, probably twice over and some sections alot more than that! Brings back the memories. I had to laugh looking at the stiles where you had to hop the cow pasture fences. I remember that hike, walking amongst the cows, stepping in cow doo-doo and then faking the cows out because they thought we were the farmers so they all headed up to the barn to get fed -- Psych!!! The southern PA sections were always my favorite. Hey, no pictures of Pole Steeple? Soooo, did the turtle win?” 8:34:02 AM 6/28/04 “Capn Bobo..it was rainig pretty hard when I was at Pole Steeple. The camera was packed, so I didn't bother. And yea, the turtle kicked my arse...more than one day!! LMAO” 5:13:38 PM 6/28/04 “cool pics NJpacker, looks like fun” 10:13:00 PM 6/28/04 “Cool pics, NJ. I guess they don't call it the Key-STONE State for nothing, eh? Sounds like you had a great time on an amazing journey. I saw a turtle just like that between the Pinnacle and Eckville when I was out there a couple Saturdays ago. No rattlesnakes though.” 10:47:14 PM 6/28/04
