Day hikes in the ADKs anyone?

“Anyone want to do some day hikes in the Adirondacks this weekend? I’d like to do a weekend trip but it looks like I have to dog sit this weekend for my parents, so that basically kills that. One of the dogs would probably hike fine, but the other one would probable die after hiking the first mile. I guess that leaves me with day hikes.”

“Hey Zac. We just came back from Saranac this weekend. Don't think I am up for heading back up there again this weekend. Hope you find someone to go with you, though. I am gearing up for Ithaca. See you then, dude!”

“How was the trip? I ment to tell you guys to make a trip up Ampersand Mountain. I've heard the views are great.”

“Yeah, yeah. Keep rubbing it in that the Daks are right outside your front door. It only takes me 7 hours to get up there. Dayhike, hmmpff!”

“It was great, Zac. Wish you could have joined us. I'm going to write up a TR in a few minutes. Got to tend to a few things here first!”

“I never said the other person had to just day hike. They could setup camp some place and we could meet up during the day.”

“How about camp setup in your living room and we fill the bath tub with ice and beer?”

“I was thinking of maybe doing Haystack, Basin, and Saddleback. But I don't mind going someplace else. I just need to go hike some place. It's been almost two weeks since my last hike. I'm going crazy here.”

No tub. It got ripped out a few weeks ago, because the bathroom is being redone.”

“Sacco, you just have to know where to go. I did both Marcy and Haystack on the 4th a few years ago. The summit of Marcy was a circus. Once on Haystack we only ran into two people while we watched the fools on Marcy.”
