Is that wrong?" Biased towards your own views in other words? No that’s not wrong. It’s your choice. But waving something off without checking it first only causes you to come out lopsided.” 12:31:14 PM 7/07/04 ““Shouldn't Junior have simply called him out like the Big Bad Texan he's always wanted to be and leave the rest of us the Hell out of it?? How's about "Flamethrowers at Fifty Paces" Not a bad idea! They could each bring 12 buddies too. It could be like the dance/fight in Jungle Fever. WMD’s at 1,000 miles maybe?” 12:33:11 PM 7/07/04 “there tagline makes it obvious. Why should I listen to spin after that? If I went to sight called www.trueamericans.com and their opening line is "If you ain't white than you ain't right!" Why should I continue looking for unbiased info?” 12:34:41 PM 7/07/04 “"Does Al Franken Lie?" I have no idea because I don't get my political views from comedians from Saturday Night Live. Commentators are fun and all but when it comes down to the truth I like unbiased outlets. Havn't found one yet but I'm still wishing and praying. LOL!” 12:35:09 PM 7/07/04 “I would love to check his facts but can't afford all that Lexisnexis work.” 12:37:24 PM 7/07/04 “what's wrong with jon stewart? probably more neutral than most of the media.” 12:37:35 PM 7/07/04 “"Why should I continue looking for unbiased info?" That's why I cut and pasted a sample of the list. You really didn't even have to go to the site unless you wanted to check some of their sources of info. I'm sorry a search of the words "Michael Moore Lie" didn't bring up a bunch of liberal sites but you simply aren't going to find such issues brought up on those sites.” 12:39:18 PM 7/07/04 “sacco has a good point. Anyone that attacks "both" sides is probably the best way to go and he doesn't have to worry about offending some CEO for his "sarcasm". Lewis Black for Prez! Nigal - LOL! Maybe you used the wrong search words? I seem to remember an unbiased media watchdog group...somewhere...” 12:46:57 PM 7/07/04 “I miss Bill Hicks.” 12:51:40 PM 7/07/04 “He would've made Michael Moore look like Tom Brokaw, LMAO!” 12:53:31 PM 7/07/04 “I miss hickies...” 1:08:55 PM 7/07/04 “do people still do hickies?” 1:11:54 PM 7/07/04 “On Stewart is way OK!” 1:15:52 PM 7/07/04 “Jon Stewart” 1:30:47 PM 7/07/04 “I thought you were going to tell us more about being on Stewart. Does he ever complain or say "Get off me, you're sweaty!"??” 1:34:56 PM 7/07/04 “No, he loves it, ya queer-baiter!” 1:36:01 PM 7/07/04 “It was there like a carrot on a stick. I had to go for it. The thread wasn't degenerating fast enough.” 1:39:25 PM 7/07/04 “I'll do hickies but only on upper thighs.” 2:11:24 PM 7/07/04 bmag “for real?” 2:13:12 PM 7/07/04 “Upper inner thighs.” 2:15:12 PM 7/07/04 “i thought hickies were a thing of the past - like good sitcoms and that game where you make a ring with your fingers - and if the person looks at it you punch them.” 2:24:47 PM 7/07/04 “Certain pressures, applied the right way, can give some women intense pleasure. Especially if one is multi-tasking. The hickie is just a side product.” 2:36:42 PM 7/07/04 “i give mrs sacco intense pleasure the old fashion way. i buy her something.” 2:46:05 PM 7/07/04 “Hickies deserve their own thread!” 2:53:50 PM 7/07/04 “My cost of living makes gift showering difficult so I make up for it elsewhere. I think you need to start a hicky thread, Tilt.” 2:59:02 PM 7/07/04 “cost of living, schmost of schmiving. it's cause your single. i always blew way more money when single, or the first few months with a chick. after a few months the money you save from bars and stuff can go towards gifts - well some of it - well a tiny bit of it anyway.” 3:13:05 PM 7/07/04 “Mostly it's my rent. And the only women I'll marry will be one that wants to hit the bars 1/week. Maybe 1 every 2 weeks but I doubt it.” 3:22:48 PM 7/07/04 “Go bear!” 3:23:26 PM 7/07/04 “well, you'll still save money on the rent then.” 3:26:40 PM 7/07/04 “maybe twice a week with at least one happy hour? Save on rent but what about decorating "our" place? The Horror. The Horror...” 3:30:01 PM 7/07/04 “the decorating comes out of the gift funds.” 3:31:33 PM 7/07/04 “So bearmagnet, you like to visit the delta region?” 3:32:12 PM 7/07/04 “I live for the delta region! I love waking up in, going to bed surrounded by it and visiting it at all times of the day. Never get tired of it!” 3:34:10 PM 7/07/04 “(cue up the jungle/swamp sound effects) Bearmagnet is hackin' his way through the brush in this hot and steamy place. He stops and sheathes his machete and fires up a smoke and tries to catch his breath. (up starts a sound like that of screaming monkeys...)” 3:41:09 PM 7/07/04 “(.....the down stairs neighbor is pounding the ceiling with a broomstick) "Knock it off up there!!!" bearmagnet, "That's what I'm tryin' to do!"” 3:43:38 PM 7/07/04 “jungle = yuk yardwork is important” 4:00:24 PM 7/07/04 “LMAO MarkO! sacco - if you don't like the jungle then use the machete/Mach 3” 4:04:16 PM 7/07/04 “Look -- a flock of hickies --” 4:05:12 PM 7/07/04 bmag “as a mattafact das wat i do.” 4:21:01 PM 7/07/04 “'Fahrenheit 9/11' Prompts State Investigation Activists Gather To Watch Controversial Film SAN FRANCISCO -- A California sheriff's department featured in the movie "Fahrenheit 9/11" is now the focus of a state investigation. In San Francisco Wednesday, hundreds of activists watched a special screening of the controversial film "Fahrenheit 9/11," NBC11's Angie Crouch reported. Some of the people in the audience are in the film. They're part of an anti-war group called Peace Fresno. The group is featured in the movie because a Fresno sheriff's deputy infiltrated the group for 6 months in 2003 and is seen at a protest in the film. The group discovered he was an undercover anti-terrorism officer after he died in a motorcycle crash. "I think police wanted to know if we had links to terrorism, which is ridiculous," said Genie Baranoff, president of Peace Fresno. California Attorney General Bill Lockyear has opened an investigation into the surveillance of the group. Peace Fresno and the American Civil Liberties Union believe the surveillance was illegal. "California's constitutional right to privacy says that law enforcement cannot infiltrate or spy on an organization engaging in constitutionally protected activity if they don't have reasonable suspicion to believe there's some kind of crime," said Mark Schlosberg, attorney for the ACLU. The Fresno Sheriff's Department wouldn't comment, but has in the past, denied that Peace Fresno is under investigation. However, they insist the department has a right to attend any public meeting, crouch reported.” 2:02:34 PM 7/08/04 “HA ! with a name like "peace fresno" you've automatically got reasonable suspicion.” 2:42:09 PM 7/08/04 “DC cops do all sorts of illegal surveilance. Well, up until recently. In one incident, a protester/undercover cop at a rally turned on his "comrades" and pepper sprayed them. All caught on video.” 2:45:37 PM 7/08/04 “Puke!” 4:09:28 PM 7/08/04 “Sometimes they take TWO Cookies!” 4:32:53 PM 7/08/04 “My wife and I made plans to drop the kids off at the her parents so that we could enjoy sometime together. We've been planning on seeing this film since it came out and seeing as she and the kids were gone for most of the week, what better time than now. We dropped the boys off and headed out to a local bar for apps and some beer. I had Bass and my wife had a Captains and Diet Pepsi over cheese sticks. We don't really go to the movies all that often, so when we got there, I didn't know that we could've stayed at the bar and had another beer and avoided all those crappy previews of the chit that Hollywood planned to inflict on the masses in the coming weeks. At this point, Nigal, you can stop reading this post, as this point represents the 20% mark. The movie overall was good, above average at some points, over done for effect toward the end, but ended with one of my favorite, classic Bushisms. I saw a couple of things that I would say that might be argued as being taken out of context and creative editing, but for the most, Moore kept his mouth shut and let the footage speak. Those were some of the best parts, as he really could've left the commentary out of the whole thing and let the moron crew hang themselves. The sorties into Iraq during our current occupation were compelling. I kept telling my wife that it really is not our troops fault. They are during their job and it is our leadership that is failing them. She knew, but it was the jump reaction that everyone has wen they first see this kind of footage. I felt bad for Powell. I wanted to see Condi burn at the stake, both of who are recorded on film as saying that they felt and knew Saddam had no WMD in the months leading up to 9/11. I wish someone would have given me a shot of whiskey when Asscroft sang. The convention on how to re-build Iraq was very enlightening. Seeing Bush speak at a "dinner", where he said "It's so nice to see the haves, and the have mores. Some people call you the elite. I call you my base" was pretty disgusting to see. Even more so than the burned bodies, shouting Iraqi mothers and fathers with dead loved ones in their arms. What a piece of chit that man is and how wrong I was for supporting that sad piece of crap in this war. The footage is mainly intact. There are troubling images. My wife was moved to disgust more than a couple of times, and that was before "we" went to Baghdad to see both sides butchered. I can see why the right moves with such fervor to discredit this movie. They are really scared about what it brings to light. As pointed out in the movie, the right depends on capitalizing on the ignorance the American people. The Bushies are not alone in this failure. The Dems were in a position to stop him, but played the game as well. They were ignorant as well and fell of it, just like I did, you did and they all did. Yep, at this point I'll call myself a dumb motherphucker for giving the finger and shouting down the protesters to show my support of Bush. I still feel like a heel. At the end, everyone clapped; something I hadn't seen at a released movie since Vader tossed the Emperor over the side. There were people making there stance known, both during and afterward. I was very disappointed that there was no rebuttle in the house, but they must have all been home watching Faux News and jerking off to the latest Bush campaign ads. I would bet that when it's in the history books, this movies might be credited with an increase in voter turn out and on both sides. I hope so, seeing that we the people failed in the last process; we owe it to our Founding Fathers to get the vote out, right or left, or anywhere in between. We owe that to everyone who has died on behalf of our Flag.” 11:49:17 PM 7/17/04 “How many people in the US actually lost one minute of sleep, thinking that Sadaam Hussein and his decimated army was going to attack us????? Answer that one truthfully. It is extremely sad that GW sent the troops in for this one. The inspections were working. Let's hear it for everyone who told GW to stay out of war before it started.” 12:06:15 AM 7/18/04 “Quote from Abraham Lincoln, "Either slavery is wrong, or nothing is wrong". Updated saying, "Either torture is wrong, or nothing is wrong".” 12:12:52 AM 7/18/04 “There were a few in Congress who said the evidence just wasn't there... but most of them just rolled over. They weren't about to be embarassed like the some of their brethren were for voting against Gulf War I. So many people said, "He's the President. He MUST have access to something we AND the Congress don't know about" over and over and over again. After seeing the film, I'm sure he did --- but it wasn't evidence for the need to go to war. One thing I have to credit the Senate with. They seem to have done a marvelous job of covering their own asses with that report. And Tenet did a marvelous job of falling on his sword.” 7:57:16 AM 7/18/04 Jump to Page << prev
