On the other hand you really do get what you pay for. Sierra Designs replaced my 4 year old 3-ply Gore-Tex technical parka with a brand new (and more expensive) 3-ply G-Tex XCR parka for free because the seam tape on thye old one had started to de-laminate.

“I've bought hiking boots, low hikers, wicking long sleeve top, and polar fleece slippers for $100 recently. I've gotten a lot of my gear there, including my North Face backpack for $50. If you don't mind mail order, I highly recommend it.”
