Snow in Yosemite?View MessagesViewing posts 1 to 7 of 7 messages posted.
“Is there any snow in Yosemite anywhere in August?” 10:09:23 PM 7/01/04 “Only a patch here and there HIGH up.” 12:03:58 AM 7/02/04 “I was once with a party hiking in a remote part of Yosemite in August when a freak blizzard hit us and dumped incredible amounts of snow. We ran out of food and ate each other. I'm missing all my fingers and toes. I'm typing with my nose right now. Be careful out there, people.” 12:09:58 AM 7/02/04 “Buck will you teach me how to type with my nose?” 12:47:38 PM 7/02/04 “That's what I would call the ultimate "hunt and peck" method of typing.” 12:49:24 PM 7/02/04 “Is your name "Buck" Donner?” 7:24:59 PM 7/02/04 “Buck might be exaggerating a LITTLE bit, but it can snow in the higher elevations of the Sierra Nevada Mtns at any time. I DID get snowed on the weekend after Labor Day (early September), and know others who ahve seen snowfall in August. If you're talking about Yosemite Valley? Yes it snows all summer long - you'll get "snowed" under by all the tourists.” 8:53:53 PM 7/02/04
