Cute! They do grow up fast.

I was thinking y'all might be preggers again when I saw this pop up though. Found out this weekend that my youngest brother's wife is pregnant again.

I thought about it after I posted. I bet someone will think we are pregnant again.

Nope, not yet. We ae going to try again in another 6 to 8 months.

Congrats uncle to be again! How many neice's/nephew's you have?

Two nephews and a niece, but we hardly see her because her scumbag father (my brother) had a serious falling-out with her mom. We should try and get her back down here during Thanksgiving or something, it's been a couple of years.

That one was tricky lyra. She is actually on a bean bag with a sheet drapped over it. As of late, she has been rolling over a lot! The first time the photographer tried to take the picture, she rolled off and she was snappin it, right in my arms.

That was the second take. They developed the first one for giggles. It turned out pretty good. She was face down, falling into my arms. She was in mid air just above and the camera caught it.

Yup, she is a cutie and very well behaved too!!! :)

I know a lot of babbies that would have been crying a lot but your baby bean stayed very well behaved (EVEN WHEN SHE REALLY WANTED YOUR BEER) lmao!

Those blue eyes are going to break some hearts when they get older. She already seem to be taking after me a bit. Gong to be hard to keep up with.

You guys will get it! Just don't let the stress and pressure get you down. Believe me! We tried for 9 months before we got it right. We thought it was not going to happen. Stress will kill your chances big time.

That happened to us as well. We were "competing" with a few other friends at the same time, and all of them got pregnant in the same month, we did not. It was all good though, because all got pregnant again so ours will be in the mide age wise.

You guys sound a lot like us. You have to keep her calm. That is what I had to do. She was an emotional mess. Half the time she didn't want to hear anything, so I left her alone. Other times she needed the support and I was there to give it.

We were amazingly lucky. It took 4 months for our first and two months for our second. My wife's best friend did many cycles of IVF before it took.

WARNING! DO NOT TELL ANY WOMAN CONSIDERING IVF THE FOLLOWING STORY!!!!!

On her last implantation attempt (the one that worked) the sedation was messed up on my wife's friend. She was paralyzed during the procedure, but not sedated in any way, so she was awake for the whole thing.

It's a good thing it worked, because she said she's not taking the chance of going through that again.

thanks for the info bit...i don't think we're gonna try invetro though...just artificial insemination...invetro is quite a bit of money and, like your example, that's just for a maybe...if we're gonna spend that kinda money we'll put it towards adoption...at least that way we know we'll have a baby

That is really a problem with surgery in general, not just IVF. Make sure you have a good anesthesiologist. What happens is they forget the drug that knocks you out, and only give you the paralyzing drug.

Thrifty, hang in there. It takes awhile sometimes (four years for us). After awhile I just decided I may not have a child, then it was all for fun and whammy, I was pregnant! It's probably much more difficult if it's your heart's desire though.

Thanks Gem and Sass!
I have heard so many stories like that.

The stress of trying to have a child interferes a lot of the time. When you have admited to yourself that this is not going to work, the stress melts away and BOOM!

I have some friends that tried for probably 15 years, adopted two wonderful children from Russia and propmtly got pregnant within a few months. They now have a 4, 3, and 1 year old. New mom around 40 with 3 kids 3 and under was a load.

Thrifty, I guess we were casual about the whole parenthood deal. We didn't take temperatures or anything like that but we didn't take any precautions either. After a few years I just figured maybe we couldn't have kids and was content with being childless. Neither of us felt pulled toward seeking help. We figured if it didn't happen it wasn't that big of a deal. So, yes it was four years w/o any bc before we got pregnant.

If my wife and I hadn't used any b/c I think we'd have 15 kids (one for each year of marriage). Her family is famously fertile; she had a great-aunt who had 11 kids.
