Bruce Peninsula ????
It`s been a while since I`ve logged onto this site, but I`m hoping someone out there in internet land can help ??? I`ve been up to the Bruce Peninsula several times but not in the area where I`m heading this weekend. I`m heading up to the Nottawasaga Bluffs and the Singhampton Caves and am considering doing the Pretty Valley Petun Loop. Has any one out there been to these areas ???. Trying to keep two young boys occupied that have never gone camping before..there my brother in-laws kids. There city kids ,used to X-box ,skate boarding etc... this is going to be a new experince for them.. worried about keeping them happy...any information would be appreciated ,thanks Paddles.

hey! paddles! where have you been?

there's lots to do up there around Collingwood. you shouldn't have any problems. the kids will like the caves. and i can't remember if it's the Mad river or Pretty river, but one of them has a large & entertaining population of crayfish.
when you go up, can you detour over to the Sauble beach area? on that side, they can walk out in the lake forever.

Hey Helinka , I`ve been around, just not big on the internet like I used to be.I`ve been up to the Bruce, several times and done little bits of the Bruce Trail...ie. the Ledges, storm haven,Gunners Point..and Loon Lake, just never ventured the Nottawasaga Bluffs area. The areas I intend to travel to all have wilderness campsites or shelters ...any chance you know anything about them ??? some aren`t far from the trail head ...just a little worried they could be Party zones for the local youth....couple of canoeists had their gear stolen a while back at a wilderness site on the Saugeen river. If you have any info. you can e-mail at billiardbald@yahoo.ca. Thanks Paddles
