“NEDERLAND - The man who said he was glued to a Home Depot toilet seat in 2003 passed a polygraph test administered on Wednesday.
Bob Dougherty, 57, smiled inside his lawyer's office just minutes after learning of the test's results. Wheat Ridge polygrapher Jeff Jenks was paid an undisclosed amount of money by Fox 31 News to perform the test.

Jenks asked Dougherty about 20 questions, Dougherty said. And four of those questions dealt with an allegation by a former town official that Dougherty said he was stuck to a toilet seat in the visitors' center restroom in 2004. Dougherty had denied that allegation.

"In my opinion, he is telling the truth," Jenks told the station.

"I knew it was going to be this," Dougherty said of the polygraph results.

The finding prompted Dougherty to call for an apology from Nederland officials.

"I'm not going to be putting up with crackpots," he told Fox 31. "I don't need any more of this stress."

"I want them to fix my name, now that they've dirtied it."

Dougherty, who said he threw up prior to an interview with the Rocky Mountain News, said he agreed to take the test because "everybody thinks I'm dirty."

“If a store has to have monitors for people who get sick in them or get glued to seats, I think they will just close down public toilets. Is there any law that says a store has to provide people other than employees bathrooms?

Why did he sit directly on the toilet seat anyway? Doesn't he know he has to put down paper on the seat first, lol? Another way around getting into this mess is providing those paper seats that you dispose of after using them which some toilets have at your disposal.

Maybe he glued his own @ss to the seat? This may be a very creative scam instead of the old slipping on the floor scam on some substance for settlement money.”

I think the only places required by law to have public restrooms are restaurants. But of course I'm sure that varies from jurisdiction to jurisdiction.”

“METHUEN, Mass. -- Home Depot Inc. apologized to a carpenter who was banned by the chain worldwide after he absent-mindedly pocketed a pencil he had used up to do some quick math.

Michael Panorelli, 51, of Lawrence, was accused of shoplifting from the Methuen store last Thursday and banned from Home Depots.

Panorelli was with a client and had just bought some lumber when the client picked up the pencil sitting next to a cash register for Panorelli to use. Panorelli pocketed the pencil and was met in the parking lot by a worker who asked for identification.

The worker presented Panorelli with one letter saying he was banned from Home Depot, and another advising that he would be hearing from the company's lawyers.
