Anybody? Anywhere?
So I've got the whole weekend available and there are NO trips anywhere in the SE US this weekend.

What gives?

Isn't somebody going somewhere?

Maine and Quebec would be awesome, but a bit far for this weekend.

I was thinkin about Brasstown, but I could go grab a couple of sixers and maybe scout the area a bit in the Plott Balsams.

hmmmm

I'd love to hike Brasstown Bald, since I did the drive up last time, but I can't go this weekend, other commitments.

Hiking is the Southeast in July (outside of Upper Smokies, maybe) is absolutely prohibited in my "book of things to do". If anything, we will hit the river this weekend.

Too hot to hike this time of year... I prefer golf in the summer ;)

Roam, as expensive as it is to date I will be broke very soon and back out on the trails, unless I go car camping with them.

For info on a Cohutta Wilderness hike gojo and I took in late April, check this link

The Conasauga River was beautiful. Course, I don't know about this time of year.

Hey, how about taking the ferry from St. Mary's, GA to Cumberland Island? You'd be right on the Atlantic. There's many threads here on Cumberland.
