OK, I'm back

“...I'm back from helping my brother drive his truck (and leftover stuff) back from Houston. A good time was had by all.

To those of you who missed me, no doubt you are relieved.

To those who were glad I was gone, I'm ready to torment you again.

To those who didn't even realize I wasn't around, nyah.

ChuckD, sorry we didn't get together for the beer, but I just didn't have time, my brother had too much stuff planned for us to do.

Trip highlights:

XM Satellite radio is good.

Casino Rouge in Baton Rouge, LA, is bad.

Driving ~700 miles in a ragged-out Nissan truck is bad.

The women in Houston tend to dress sluttier than the women here in Huntsville. I think this is good. It's probably a survival thing for them; I also wore as little as I could get away with when I was there because it's so frickin' hot.

The original Dreamland in Tuscaloosa is good. It was distinctly strange to hear conversations in German there though.

Flying on small planes is bad.

Coming home is good.”

They are a dime-a-dozen here. The food is really great usually and cheap. The best place in town to get eggs benedict is the Rocky Mountain Grill/Uncle Buck's Casino. Best buy in town at under $4.00 (I think, I didn't pay for it;) first time I'd had Eggs Benedict. It was good, makes the sauce from scratch!”
