Do you know anything about boats?
I'm looking to buy a used ski boat and really don't know much about which makers are considered to be higher quality and which are considered to be lower quality. I'm pretty much looking for an 18-22 ft. bow rider and don't want to buy a piece of junk. let me know if you have any advice. Thanks

From my limited knowledge boats are like cars. They pretty much all do the same thing. It’s all in the motor. The motor will cost you nearly as much as the boat itself.

My son has a Boston Whaler Jet boat that goes 60 mph and turns on a dime. Please buy it from him. If he doesn't have to make payments maybe he'll pay me back the money I loaned him.

Be sure to go over the financing with a fine toothed comb. you can really get screwed on stuff like high dollar boats and rvs.

I don't know much about boats, but my boss is big time into them. What I've gleaned is that the first question is saltwater vs. freshwater.

I'm assuming freshwater. Some brands I know are supposed to be good are Criscraft and SkiNautique.

Thanks violin, your a valuable asset to those in need here at TT. and a real thank you to day hiker, yes ski nautique boats are amazing but a little out of my price range.

The happiest two days of a boat owners life are the day he buys it and the day he sells it.

Anybody interested in a Catalina 30 sailboat?

I'd love a smaller sail boat. I've been checking out free plans on line for building one but for some reason I can see it being one of those projects that sit in the garage for five years half done.

Nigal, my boss is going to a wooden boat building school in Maine for 3 weeks in September. I think prowler used to build boats.

Chuck: A Catalina 30 isn't exactly my first choice. However, if the condition and price are right I might have some interest. What do you have?
