If you look at the trail system, there are a couple of good spots to "put in" if you need.”

“very nice trail system, especially in late fall with nice views of the reservoir. don't miss nelse run, great camping where tracy run enters the reservoir. handsome lake and hopewell are very nice campsites, right along the reservoir, pit toilets, water. must self register though and pay $8.”

“That's cool too. It's possible that that we could stay another night on the trail too. Maybe relocate up river and camp, and skip the ride to Red bridge. You guys could bring in the beer :) . I've heard that we can really camp anywhere, per the NCT rules.

“helinka - A route hasn't been decided just yet. If it's OK, I thinking about waiting a tad more before I get an outline together for a route. There has been some talk about maybe spending two days on the trail instead of just one. In that case, we would prolly be staying somewhere near Dennison run, which is just south of Willow Bay area. I don't have my maps in front of me at the moment.

Another reason is that I'd like to get more of a sence of how many people are going to attend. My thought is that there are many trails systems right off of Tracy Ridge campground. Some might not want to go the same route as others, some might want to bush wack. My thoughts are if we just say "First night, we'll camp here, second night, we'll camp here", it might give a little flexiblity to the hikers.

Don't worry, though. Once the camp areas are set (hopefully sometime in early Oct.), I can suggest a route to you and a "put in" spot for ya.
