i wanna try a pair, but the nearest dealer is over 2 hours away and i hate ordering shoes online.”

“crocs rocks! almost every thru-hiker has a pair for their camp-shoes. very light-weight (important for those on the trail for 4-6 months going 15-20 miles a day) and very comfortable. theyre in just about any outfitter near the AT, but otherwise, good luck”

i've got pretty short wide feet, so depending on the brand of shoes, the size for me vaires considerably.

any suggestions/ info on how the croc sizes run ?”

“well I found the XL size to be just about right for my 11.5 normal width foot with a fair amount of toe room. If your foot is quite wide you might want to try a size higher than indicated on the chart on the Crocs site.”
