I'd have no problem with Willie Peter being used against hostile military targets, but it should not be used in situations where it could even remotely land on civilians.

They gave us a demo of a Willie Peter explosion in basic (from a safe distance). If somebody is shooting at me and some of that stuff lands on him, my reaction is going to be one of happy rejoicing.

The problem in Iraq is that the so-called insurgents shelter in populated areas, which makes the problem of taking them out that much thornier. A colonel who grew up in one of our neighborhoods managed to separate the population from the terrorists at Tall 'Afar in early September. That's the only way to do it.”
