Why Did I Cut My Hair? I look like a Squ irrel!

And now for my commentary on "style," like anyone cares. LOL! Just wondered why ya got it straightened? If it's cuz a person wants to, more power to ya! If it's following a fashion trend, then I guess that must be mighty important to ya.

I've pretty much always gotten perms, whether in or out of style at the time. I've got hair that's an odd combination of limp, plus frizzy -- wowsers! I like curly hair. Very easy to care for. No curling irons! Pull it back and go.

I even decided, looking at women with long gray or salt-and-pepper hair that I might go that route. Might send out a "granola" message that ain't really me, but it's just a real honest look. Hey, Om's long hair is great!!

And now my overprocessed hair could, just like the rest of you, use 6" cut off. But I think I'll do it a few inches at a crack... and try not to run back in for a perm until it all grows out. You wouldn't believe the number of haircare products I put on post wash/pre dry to try to infuse some life! lol. And on really bad days -- at this point in the process -- yes, I will haul out the curling iron.

Last time I went for a cut, a month or so ago, I said, "Only na inch" too late! She whacked off more like 3. Anyhoo.... ain't hair grand and fun... SOME DAYS. phhhht! LOL!”

“That’s why most people have never heard of it. That stuff will make your hair grow like crazy. I’ve always had really full bodied hair that is not flat enough but not curly enough. I used to have to do a mayonnaise treatment when it got really dry. Nasty but it works.”

I still handle grays with a handy pair of tweezers. LOL!”

“I straightend my hair a while back (some new home product though). I straightend it because my curls knotted up on every single backpacking trip. They are not as straight as scorchys though. I actually should do it again (it's been like 4 month or so) but it does fry your hair, so I rather deal with the knots I guess.

“gem,.. i get the japanese hair straightening (the yuko system) which actually RESTORES your hair so it's silky smooth... literally. it straightens the protein bonds in each strand of hair so it not only restores the hair but makes it poker straight.
