you talkin about the part where he beats up himself in his bosses office...is that the part that your fight reminded you of??

Nah, although it kinda reminds me of the wounds on the other guy. Some wrestler on the scene put me in a sweet headlock (which I complimented him on), and I'm glad, because I was almost out of control.

I learned in middle school that an effective technique for getting out of a headlock is to punch the guy in the gnads.

Hope it wasn't too serious, BB.

i like fighting so long as i dont get my ass kicked into the ground or the other guy knows when to quit trying to get up...although i tend to avoid confrontations when possible...

Arty, it was kinda seroius, otherwise it wouldn't have happened.

Some gilr on my softball team (who I'm not interested in, but consider a friend) was getting obscenely hit on by some waste of a man. Had not only had a ring on his finger, but was licking her neck while she kept trying to shrug him away. AFter several shrugs, he pushed her.

For those of you who know me, I finally had to speak up, and confronted him. He backed off, and called me "Visor Boy" (I'm sure this will snowball into some serious ribbing). Anyway, after some people settled him down, I simply went over and talked to him, explaining that his juvenile BS and that he was lucky that I wasn't some dude that would have immediately beat his a$$. I decided to leave, realizing I helped my teammate, and there was no use argueing with a moron. As I was walking out the door, he stated "good riddance 'Visor Boy'".

This is where I digressed from 33 yr. old adult, to 22 yr. old butt whopper. There was no hesitation, I turned around, and jacked him in the mug. After he hit the floor, I pounced and lost the damned visor (and glasses). 10 guys jumped on the both of us, but they still couldn't keep me off of puss-boy woman abuser, until. This stocky dude put me in a sweet headlock that pretty much incapacitated me. They cleared woman beater out, found my half crunched glasses, yet couldn't locate my damned Indians Visor. Some blood on the floor (wasn't mine :)).

How ironic. Great fight, maybe he won't abuse women again, or make snide remarks about a well placed visor.

A real knight in shining visor!

I like your initial approach, but when pushed to the limit I know what it's like to need to throw a punch. The guy had it coming, in fact was clearly asking you for it.

Anyway, after some people settled him down, I simply went over and talked to him,

this was your first mistake. sorry but you may have felt that what you were doing was the right thing, but it was obvious there was no talking civil to him. you should have left it at that and just stay close to your frined. kinda like a protector if you will. I applaued your standing up to the moron but sorry it ended with you in a fight. I hope charges and or a law suit are not pressed on you for throwing the first punch.

hope your not hurt.

What mapleleaf said is right.

"As I was walking out the door, ..." Buddha Bear

You should have continued leaving. One or the other of you could have been hurt. If the other guy knew how to fight, it could have been you. You may have felt justified in defending yourself, but the police, district attorney and court might feel differently. From your posts you appear to be the physical attacker. If you had been attacked, you would have had no choice but to defend yourself.
"If one reacts too harshly the one can be arressted. This can lead to a lot of legal problems such as a civil suit, incarceration (jail time) etc."

"Do your best to avoid problems, expecially physical problems with people. Two minutes of uncontrolled anger can ruin your life and cause your loved ones heartaches and lots of grief."

"If you can run away from a fight then do so. Do not think of it as cowardice or lacking in courage. I think of it as being smart and having good sense. Generally speaking, it will be an encounter with a stranger --- person whom you will probably never see again in your life. It is not worthwhile to get involved in a brawl that no one can predict the outcome. It can have horrible consequences either for him or the defender. ..."

I'm sorry, but from what BB said, that dude physically assaulted a woman. He got what he deserved. I'd be surprised if a judge showed too much compassion for a man who repeatedly and unwantedly licked a woman and then physically pushed her. That guy'd probably be foolish to waste his money on a lawyer to pursue anything in BB.

"You spoke up and confronted him"
Good on you.
"he backed off"
great, problem resolved, end of story.

Now you went on the offensive.
You went over and told him how offensive his behaviour was and how lucky he was that you did not beat him up. This was NOT protecting the girl, this was you provoking a fight.

He also responded with an insult, still less than you did because he did not suggest beating your azz.

Now you made a physical assault.

Why do I see parallels between this and Prez Bush with Saddam.
You who find Bush's behaviour reprehensible act exactly the same.

BTW, I agree with your action as I am sure the minute you were no longer present he would continue to harass the girl. I very much doubt he will now, after he got a lickin'. Yep, I also agree with Bush behaving like that too.

And if you are tempted to suggest no-one died, that was pure luck on your part.
