“Did anyone catch last night's episode?
The stupid Kennedy Center awards knocked the Amazing Race back an hour so I tuned in too late!!

What happened?”

“Same here. My wife was out with the girls. Today at lunch I mentioned it to her and he said it was at a different time. I keep meaning to go to the cbs website to see who got the boot. Let it be Jon, let it be Jon,....all together now.”

“My mom said it was non-elimination. And apparently Jonathan was as horrible as ever. Including slamming Victoria's arms in the car trunk. When she yelped in pain he told her it was her fault she wasn't quick enough.

ARG! I really hate him. I don't care if Victoria is a bimbo, he is the devil. I think we should continue to call him "Yellow Jacket" because yellow jackets the wasps are pretty mean and nasty too!”

“I usually just call him jackass. Blue hair comes to mind too.”

“Also, blue hair may be a regional thing. When little old, white haired ladies in the South get their hair done it frequently comes out with a blue tint.”

“Why do you call him blue hair? I thought blue hair was for gray hair?”

“He has the very back of his hair at the collar of his shirt dyed bright blue. It's been that way for several episdoes.”

“I didn't even notice? What on earth for?”

“Those young Entrapreneurrs... Entrapen... those two that have their own business were the most annoying of the bunch.

What's their business, being paid to hang around and annoy others such as old girlfriends, someone you despise, an annoying collegue, etc?”

“She's an ex Playboy bunny. (Victoria) Now she has exclusive license to paint and draw artwork using the bunny logo. So I'm sure there's some decent money in that. They (her and her evil husband Jonathan) own a Ferarri, so someone has some money.”

“Which goes to show that money doesn't buy happiness, but apparently can land you a playboy bunny who pretends to be an artist....and a complete jerk for a husband....”

“Hey, did anyone see last night's episode?”

“I didn't and forgot to tape it.”

“I missed it! I was downtown for the big game. Which we kicked ass in.

So it sounds like we need an update. Dayhiker?”

“I taped it. Do you want an update?

They had left Lori & Bolo "hanging" on the end of the last episode... Lucky for them, there were some "time equalizers" built in and they managed to make it to the next destination at around the same time as everyone else...”

“That's it? No one got eliminated?

Did Jonathan, a-hole, blue hair pitch a fit and punch his wife? Or did he behave himself for once?

How did my favorites Gus/Hera and Jon/Kris do?”

“Gus/Hera got eliminated.

Jonathan was his normal self.

The cool part was watching them eat spicy soup and throwing up.”

“OK, here's the short version....

After Bolo & Lori got onto the train, they got to the internet cafe after everyone else, but their next destination wasn't open until 10 am, so they ended up being first at that gate....

As soon as the gate open, all of the teams ran through to grab a number to ride a railroad car-like thing down a track to their next clue.... However, Freddy (?) and Hera got slammed by the gate and Freddy was really pissed because it bopped him on the nose....

Hellboy was 1st to get to the nubmers, but because he was running so fast, he and the other guy (don't remember who) ran over the sign and the numbers flew everywhere. Bolo & Lori got number 1 and the first clue. They decided to do a fast forward so that they could get some rest after not sleeping the night before (Everyone else had slept in a little hotel.)

Their fast forward was to find this room in a basement and to drink a cup of pig's blood. They did it and ended up as number 1 team.... :-)”

“OH no! That's a bummer.
I guess Kris and Jon are my only favorite team now. I like them.”

“The others had to go to a destination to
to either play water polo or inflate and ride a rubber raft across the Blue Danube River. Everyone did the water polo except Gus and Hera. (the rafting took a lot longer.)

Then they all had to go and eat Spicy Hungary soup (24 ounces).... It basically was a pot of hot peppers. in a room full of Hungarian Musicians (playing quite loudly!)

I think Aaron was the first to sit down, but then Victoria followed. They gave them huge bowls with tiny spoons... Aaron was doing okay until Victoria started puking-- she kept throwing up and throwing up. After that he couldn't really keep his food down either... Aaron ended up being one of the last ones to leave.... Jonathan kept telling Victoria "We're going to lose! Hurry up!" but it made it worse for her.

Adam's girlfriend Rebecca scarfed it down in an instant and then hurled after going outside... I think Freddy came in after the others had left-- he was eating really well until Kendra said--look at that (the puke on the floor) to which he immediately got sick (an apparently some went back into his bowl...) Kendra then looked like she was going to get sick... He finished and went on....

Gus & Hera arrived last. Gus did a good job of eating, but looked a little green in the cab to their next destination.

They had to go to a place where there was an elevated car that took them to the top.

Unfortunately, Gus & Hera were the last to arrive and got eliminated.....”

“Oh, by the way, the other women were riding Jonathan about how he let Victoria do all of the hard stunts--to which he replied "Well, she's a good eater". (not in that leg, however!) He did actually say he was sorry when they were in the cab--poor girl, her eyes were all red from crying and she looked a complete mess...

Again, as they were running up to the pitstop, she started crying about slowing down. I'm not sure, but I think that this time, she put her pack down or something (I was doing something else, so I don't remember.) They came in 3rd, I think--and at least he was actually happy this time!

My favorite team was Gus and Hera,
Unfortunately, the detour between the water polo and the rafting sunk their ship-- they were the last to leave the railroad car task....”

Jon and Kris seem to be good people. And they keep their cool and are in good physical shape. I hope they do win.”

“I like Hayden & Aaron... of course, that's because Aaron used to attend Michigan State... :-)

Hera and Gus were my favorites-- they try so hard and the dad really keeps his cool-- even when things go wrong... Unfortunately, I think that his lack of athleticism was ultimately their downfall--they always seemed to move around at a slower pace and they got lost a lot... :-(

Actually, Lori and Bolo are pretty funny... they swigged down the pig's blood like it was nothing--but then again, as body builders, I'm sure they've had their share of weird protein drinks....

The producers are pretty clever-- they built in a lot of "time equalizers" to prevent any team from getting too far ahead of the others in the race. We thought for sure that Bolo and Lori would be eliminated, until they got the fast forward...

The other thing that's hard to gauge is the actual timing of each team's efforts. Obviously, they switch back and forth all of the time in the videos-- so that the audience can't really tell how much time has really passed between each of the teams and their check points....”

“I also wonder how much time passes for a particular episode.

Lori and Bolo are probably the most fun. I like it when she gets mad and her accent gets THICK.”

And Hayden isn't winning any points with me either. Maybe it's her personality shining through, but I think she's kinda ugly. I wouldn't cast her in anything. Aaron should get himself a nicer woman.

“What happened in last night's episode? I had to clear it from the TIVO so that the wife could watch the end of the bigest loser.”

“Let's see, in Hungary they set off and their first stop was a wine cellar that opened the next morning. Then they flew to Corsica to Napoleon's birthplace where again it didn't open until morning. There Rebecca and Adam got a Fast Forward. They had to put those old school dive suits on and walk across the ocean floor to get their clue. Adam freaked out at first because some valve that allowed him to sink the bottom wouldn't work. Rebecca got the clue but Adam still needed to walk to where the clue was and back. But he got back in the suit, got the valve to work and did it. They then flew in a small plane to the pit stop.
Meanwhile everyone had a choice between using an "ascender" to scale a big wall and then repel down, or ride in a boat searching buoys for the clue. Jonathan and Victoria chose the boat. They were a$$holes to one another but found it pretty timely. Hayden and Aaron were in last from getting lost in the car. Finally one person from each team had to squish grapes with their feet to get the clue before going to the pit stop. Hayden and Aaron were last to arrive, but it's a non elimination round.
Again, Kris and Jon were totally classy. They had stopped and used a phone to reserve their flight to Corsica. But when they got to the airport there was some issue with getting them on the flight. The clerk said it was "closed." They were totally nice to him and didn't lose their cool with him or one another. Then somehow the clerk was able to get them on afterall. Strange.”

“I saw that part, but that was it. It sounds like I did not miss anything.”

“This is a great season! Very weird too. The blue haired 3 year old treats his wife like a damn dog but then is hugging all the locals and being the model American tourist. And the one good looking priss while in India is the model ugly American, “God it stinks here. It’s so dirty and poor here I can’t wait to leave.”. I couldn’t believe it when the wrestler faked having CP to get through customs faster. Bad bad karma! I loved it last night when the dude with the pineapple haircut was screaming like a little girl in the diving suite.”

“That guy is such a puss! That last episode, I would have loved to see him eat that bowl of spicey soup. He would have slowed them down and they probably would have lost.

It will be interesting to see what happens if the bad husband teams looses. I am sure he will blame it all on his wife.”

“I know, it was hilarious watching Devil Boy bob around. What a ninny. But he finally came through and they got first.

I really hate Jonathan. Victoria is starting to fight back, but this guy is a total arse.

I grew up overseas and ugly Americans are the worst.”

“The way he treats her is just so damn vile. Calling her stupid and dumb all the time. This lady’s self esteem must be zero. It’s just mental abuse. I’d have a real hard time holding my tongue if someone was dissing their wife like that in front of me.”

“Yeah, I am a little surprised that the producers allow and air the abuse. I mean, aren't they providing the conditions and a platform for the abuse. Who knows? Besides, the contestants most likely signed some kind of waiver not to sue for anything. At least if she wants to leave him after the show, she has plenty of evidence of the abuse. And to think that one point she said he would make a good father. Hopefully she will get some help.”

“At one point the host told him that he better talk with Victoria because he yelled at her so bad.

My guess that if it were to get too extreme (physical abuse) the producers would have told him in secret to watch it.”

“When they had their rehash show, they showed the whole crying/carrying the pack fiasco but did NOT show the push, guess the producers realized it was in bad taste to show that again.
She'a almost as bad as he is. She was just holding back the first episode.
I hope they BOTH learn a lot from the show and work it out in the end, they seem like two peas in a pod.”

“It's real intresting how quickly Victoria goes into panic-hysteria-crying mode such as when she could'nt find the buoy during last nights challenge. It was like was a beat dog anticipating another beating. I was so hoping that blue hair would lose his grip on the raft and go skipping across the water like the little pebble he is.”

“I was so glad that Hayden & Aaron weren't eliminated last night. It's obvious the stress is really getting to them, but I would rather see Jonathan and Victoria gone before Hayden & Aaron...

Personally, I really hope she left him because of his verbal abuse. Obviously, the comment about her committing suicide and him wishing she would just stepped WAYYYYY over the line.... What kind of message are the producers sending to young women when they air that kind of crap?!”

I actually didn't watch last night but read about the episode on cbs.com. I'm glad evil blue hair is gone. He's bad.
