NPR morning edition is just not the same without Bob Edwards.

yeah, I wonder if that program will be modeled like the Morning Edition was when he was the host.

Wonder how many have stopped listening to NPR ME in protest.

I still listen because it is still way superior to any of the other crap that is on in the morning but it's not the same. Bob was awesome. I wonder why he got fired. I haven't really heard an explanation.

Damn, I had not heard. Bob Edwards was at his best when he was on with Red Barber on Friday mornings before Red passed on. Bob played straight man to Red, and it was great radio. I still miss Red, and will miss Bob too.

I love NPR. I know, a conservative that loves NPR? Gross' interviews are the best. Fresh air could make anything seem interesting. And Prarie Home Companion? Fa'get'a'bout'it! It's the best thing on radio!

Bob Edwards has a great voice.

Yeah, I'll miss him. They got rid of him because they thought he was too unhip. Jerks.

The thing I like about him is he doesn't have that midwest flat voice. He actually gives life to the words and it's not just deadpan bs.

I used to love finding an NPR affiliate while traveling and listening to morning edition, it was like being home. Great voice, a reason for satelite radio perhaps.

Yeah, I think I may make the jump to satelite radio just to get that show. I love NPR though. Prairie Home Companion is awesome.

I miss him also, it just doesn't seem the same. I still listen to NPR, commercial radio is an insult to the intelligence of a rock, so there is no choice. I attended his book signing event here in town; it took him a while to warm up but it was good.

NPR is one of the best things going if you want to hear more than a sound-bite about any story. They also allow both sides to voice their views and don't shout them down.
Bob was great. However, I never considered not listening.

I remember Bob Edwards in his early days when I worked at an NPR affiliate (late 70's). He was always a class act...

What a great news voice.

Did I hear that he objected to the corporate advertising that is creeping its way onto NPR?
