How'd I loose you Fade, Bear Magnet mentioned Foulcault being in the Manufacturing Consent documentary. And some people say his name in a way that rhymes with Buck-O.

And the Washington Post is damn impartial!

Or is it the policy of "Liberal" newspapers to allow such conservative pundits as George Will a column?

Allowing a couple of conservative columnists makes their new reporting impartial?

Hardly.

New York Times just ran an article in the editorial section about whether or not they were a liberal rage.

Yep, you guessed it.

They admitted to it and gave reasons why.

So, there you have it.

6 out of 7 vets in my family are voting for Kerry. The seventh doesn't vote.

I see conservative and liberal "slants" in the Post frequently. Do you read it? Offline?

And unlike most papers, the Ombudsman is completely independent. Concurring with readers complaints of conservative & liberal biases.

Yes there is some reporting at the post with a conservative bent, just as there is with a liberal bent at the Times, but on balance the Post is definitely way left, and the Times is definitely way right. There's no balance in our local rags.

perhaps. I guess what gets irritating is when a story/report is discounted based on the paper it's in.

Although i am also guilty of doing this.

I like to read the article regardless of the source, and evaluate it on it's own merits. But keeping the general bent of the source in mind is certainly valid.

I've said it once, and I'll keep saying it.

ALL MEDIA IS BIASED!!!!

no if's, and's or butt's!

Even yer church rag.

Even your community rag.

Even your school newspaper.

This is why it is soooooo important to gather information from multiple sources. Two really isn't even enough.

Ideally, 3 to 4 should be able to give you a well rounded information.
