Columbia River Gorge hikes
I'm going to Oregon for a little R&R, and I'm looking for some decent dayhikes in the area. Anybody know of easy/moderate (~5 mi) hikes? The prettier, the better. Best if within ~40 mi. of The Dalles.
Thanks

I loved Eagle Creek, but it may be a tad dry at this point. Maybe do part of the PCT? The Wa side is also good too.
Only issue I have with the Gorge hikes is that they are all CROWDED! They are worse than hiking on I-90 outside of Seattle. Everyone comes out on the weekends, sun or rain. But what is good, is if you get past, say, 4 miles out, it gets nice and lonely.
If I were you, find a copy of Falcon's Columbia River Gorge hikes.
