“At last! My first backpacking trip! I can't even describe how excited I am about this. Some friends and I are heading out this weekend, we are going to a point off the beaten path apparantly, somewhere near a stream.

I'm not exactly sure where our exact position is going to be, but today we are getting together to check out a map and get the route committed to memory.

“I know the feeling. In March I did a little overnighter after having shoulder surgery and it was almost like the first time because of the joy of being back out there.”
