Attention Photoshoppers! “Loved the photo of the TrailTalkers at Muir Hut! It got me to thinking, Mebbe some of you talents would enjoy playing around @ freakingnews.com Oh, and when can I get me one of them cool T shirts? I cant get any wardrobe over at the other place... See ya” 12:05:35 PM 8/02/04 “So are you affiliated with worth1000 or are you just cloning thier interface?” 12:17:20 PM 8/02/04 “Now, your just trying to confuse me! Actually I really thought that some creative talents would enjoy freakingnews.com Really, I did. I swear.” 12:23:24 PM 8/02/04 “It's just a question. Not a big deal. Freakingnews looks as if they cloned the contest functionality of worth1000. www.worth1000.com” 12:29:56 PM 8/02/04 “I gotta agree, the similarities are well they aren't similar the two sites are identicle. Maybe freakingnews.com has a little more news-oriented entries, but what they consider as news runs a pretty wide gamut. Anyway, thank you for directing me to the other site. But I better get back to work!” 12:44:35 PM 8/02/04 “http://training.photoshopelementsuser.com/ you can register for online classes to learn how to use Photoshop Elements 3.0 the cost is 20.00 for a 21 day class. You have 60 days to complete the course you can also download and tryout the latest versions of Photoshop CS2 and Elements 3.0 for 30 days http://www.adobe.com/products/tryadobe/main.jsp last edited: 8/03/05 3:23:50 PM” 3:21:47 PM 8/03/05 “If you have PS Elements bundled with any Canon product you can get $300 off of PS CS2 until November... Special Offer Just ordered mine last night!” 11:45:51 AM 8/04/05 “I want to play with photoshop before I buy. I have never used it before so it will take a while to get use to it” 11:53:08 AM 8/04/05 “It is a cool program once you get the hang of it Ewker. My good friend/co-worker is a Graphic Artist and teaches PS at the local JC. He has been a big help in my learning PS!” 6:27:07 PM 8/04/05 “I used to work with painter, it got sold from um...can't remember the company to macromedia I think...didn't stay there long, and went to corel. it's not bad, but photoshop is exactally what I need. I work with photoshop for years now. It does have a learning curve thou...especially if you are not used to work with layers, etc.... If you want to use it for only editing photos...shoot...I think elements is good enough, so as any other cheaper program.” 7:23:55 PM 8/04/05 “Gem - "Fractal Design". Came in a paint can. LOL” 7:25:46 PM 8/04/05 “Elements is all most folks need. Honestly even if you do work in the design field you will probably only use half of the PS toolset. PS can get super deep if you want it to.” 8:50:56 AM 8/05/05 “I do know with the new Elements 3.0 you can now work with your pics in the RAW format” 8:53:21 AM 8/05/05 “I've been thinking about buying Elements 3.0 but ya know, I just don't trust anything with a .0 behind it. What's a good price for this? Dang thing is about $100 local.” 9:13:28 AM 8/05/05 “Is it because that zero hits too close to home???!? LOLOLOL!! I kill me!!! You still owe me mail, Mr. Zero. LOL! ;-P” 10:08:24 AM 8/05/05 “lizs is easily amused. ;-) Yes dear, I do owe you an email.” 10:16:45 AM 8/05/05 “Let me put it this way.... I had warez versions of Photoshop 7 and CS, along with Jasc Paintshop Pro 8 and 9. All of them full working programs, I bought Adobe Elements 3.0. I've have been very happy with it. If you shop around you can get it in the $75.00 range. Elements was the easiest to use, gave the most consistent "auto fix" settings and gives virtually every option you could ask for, including RAW format. Elements also has a great photo Organizer. Elements 3.0 did come out with a small patch, 3.0.1, it changes a couple things in the photo organizer to make it even easier to use. Paintshop 8 and 9 had rather large, major updates shortly after being released. Adobe CS issued a major security update a couple weeks ago and has a whole page of updates for the rest of the program, many of them for RAW mode. Photoshop 7 had rather extensive updates as well. last edited: 8/05/05 10:37:51 AM” 10:36:55 AM 8/05/05 “THANKS mtnsteve!!! That's just the kinda info I was hopeing for. Miss Professional Reporter and Photographer sure didn't help me any. ;-)” 10:42:09 AM 8/05/05 “SS, look at my 1st post. You can do a 21 day online class for 20.00. You have 60 days to complete it. I am sure you can fit that into your schedule. I would think that would be money well spent. Also check ebay for Elements 3.0” 11:06:20 AM 8/05/05 “Nawwwwww I hate online classes. Rairly are they anything I can't pick up by reading the manual or help files. eBay might be worth looking into.” 11:21:22 AM 8/05/05 “rairly = rarely crap!” 11:32:28 AM 8/05/05 “rairly = rarely crap!” StoveStomper 11:32:28 AM 8/05/05 a sure sign SS isn't sarge” 11:48:30 AM 8/05/05 “You play with the programs until you finally learn something. Been "playing" with Photoshop since 2000. Still don't know it all, but know quite a few things. Ummm... and anyone want to help me with the newest version of PS, I'd certainly welcome such help! :-) ;-) My PS 5 or whatever I have is waaay clunky.” 1:42:35 PM 8/05/05 “Miss Professional Reporter and Photographer is ignoring me. Can't say I blame her. ;-)” 1:49:51 PM 8/05/05 Lizs “I'm no PS expert...but I have connections. :-)” 6:13:55 PM 8/05/05 “Big :-) oops, still ignoring SS. He owes me e-mail. :-)” 10:15:41 PM 8/05/05 “MS Paint has everything you need if you're really patient. Here's one of my creations. Enjoy. ![]() MS Paint gives you that creative freedom that we artists crave so very much. Note the realism. Realism is my favorite style, but occassionally I switch to pointillism.” 10:23:17 PM 8/05/05 “As painter smurf used to say, ~bad fake French accent~ "A masterpaysa"~/bad fake French accent~ MS Paint has everything you need if you are really patient and don't have high expectations of your software. lol. PS is simply the best pixel pusher on the market but most folks don't need half of the features.” 10:51:25 PM 8/05/05 “Sarge is Blind Willie????!??” 12:49:14 AM 8/06/05 “Sarge was the Kit troll. Definitely not BW.” 8:41:23 AM 8/06/05 “Stay out of biotech! http://chronicle.com/free/2008/05/3028n.htm I don't know why I'm surprised researchers are doing this. Guess I'm an optimist, that people will tell the truth.” 1:19:54 PM 5/29/08 “Have 'shop, will travel.” 7:58:37 PM 5/29/08 “http://photoshopdisasters.blogspot.com/2008/06/washington-post-unlikely.html Washington Post......” 6:22:28 PM 6/12/08
