“I just got back from a nice car-camping weekend, to see this on my door to my dismay: FLYER: VOTE YOUR MIND voteyourmind.us "George Bush agreed with Bill Clinton, John Kerry, John Edwards, Ted Kennedy, and the rest of Congress that Iraq had WMD's. Why is he the only one being accused of lying? Is watching factually baseless Hollywood movies the way you make electoral decisions? Today we are fighting terrorism in Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan without the UN, instead of New York, Chicago and LA with the UN. Would you like that to change? How would you feel about George Bush if Saddam was raping and torturing your kids? How would you feel about John Kerry and his supporters who sat and did nothing? How patriotic is it to continually denounce the president of your contry in a time of war? Anti Bush Pro Kerry anarchists plan to attack the RNC convention. This will be an act of terrorism against America and its constitutional rights. Will you support them? Does a man whose personal wealth is a billion dollars and who only paid $96,000 in taxes last year really care about anyone but himself? And why would you let him raise your taxes? As long as racism earns a paycheck will it ever end? In 1964 the Civil Rights Act was passed by Republicans. Al Gore's father as well as most other Democrats voted against it. On July 19, 1969, Ted Kennedy, who would become a lifelong alcoholic while building a career decalring his compassion for others, left a young lady to drown at the bottom of a lake in a car he was driving. Family wealth and power would buy his way out of a prison sentence and allow him to become a liberal Democratic Party leader. During the 1980's Ronald Reagan drastically reduced tax rates and Bill Gates pioneered computer technology, together we experienced the Gates/Reagan economy of the 90's. In 2000, after repeated ballot counts attested to by four different media sources, George Bush won the 2000 election. The interjection by the US Supreme Court was in answer to blatantly illegal interference by the liberal Democrat Florida Supreme Court. On 9/11 America was attacked and George W Bush responded. To this day we have not had a single American attacked again by terrorism on our soil. To this day John Kerry and his supporters have done nothing to support the cause. What would they have done? Today, France who has fought hard to stop America from fighting terrorism, has fought hard in stopping the UN from taking action against the Sudan for the slaughter and enslavement of tens of thousands of Christian Black Africans by Moslem Arabs in that country. The reason being oil. As in Iraq, France has been profiting from human suffering in the Sudan. Today John Kerry and the democrats insist we take orders from France and the UN. Which party has allied itself with Saddam Huessein and Osauma Bin Laden and spent the last year and a half attacking our Commander and Cheif while our country is at war? John Edwards has made a fortune by suing doctors out of existance with frivolous lawsuits and then blaming republicans and others for the high cost of health care. Which is a greater threat to your rights: the Patriot Act or political correctness. Who is it that has replaced God with government, family with gay rights, morals and ethics with political correctness and rule of law with chaos? They have built your hate." Allright TT'rs, help me pick this apart so I can send a rebuttal to those in my community. Also, this mental patient actually has a website with a message board (which is down as of right now). Feel free to email or post on the message board whatever your heart desires. I had a great time this weekend, but I must say, it would have been a very interesting converastion on my front porch is this Nazi goose-stepped to it while I was home.” 4:33:51 PM 8/08/04 “I think you would do that message board a great service by posting a link to it here. As for the Flyer. We'll it gives insight to what's to come. This will be the type of information quoted around this world and this propagande will be taken as fact by those who choose to remain unenlighten about the candidate. As with the attack ad against Kerry's war record, this too is a shame. The biggest shame, is like the Kerry attack ad, it will be defended as truth. The only way to try and make a change, is to try and not get baited. That is the rights favorite tactic. I say, just leave'em alone and let them *spin* out of control, rebut when needed, but try not to slip into the mud. They'll hang themselves with the information the try to prop up, like that *swift boat* book, but the truth always wins out, over the *fog of war* type tactics. I know it might be frustrating to hold back, but giving this *person* anything to use against Kerry by going off on him in a letter would do no good. Now, spamming his board with porno, well...... I'm kidding...” 5:04:22 PM 8/08/04 “John Edwards just finished giving a speech in Lawrence, Kansas just an hour ago. It was refreshing to hear him speak from a positive point of view, not slipping into negative attacks. Even from this "Red" state, there are many people eager to hear what Kerry/Edwards have to say. The spontaneous gathering was attended by, (guesstimate on my part), 2-3thousand people. Not bad for a town of 100,000. I agree that you shouldn't counterattack this person. However, it never hurts to quote some facts to those who would spread untruths.” 5:16:50 PM 8/08/04 “Their "discussion" page (where they say they can share their TRICKS) won't load. WHAT A PITY. I'll keep trying.... I can think of a few choice links they wouldn't like to know about and a few choice comments they don't want to hear, LMAO” 5:22:03 PM 8/08/04 “I submitted a little note into the suggestion box. I hope they post it.” 5:30:46 PM 8/08/04 “#1: "George Bush agreed with Bill Clinton, John Kerry, John Edwards, Ted Kennedy, and the rest of Congress that Iraq had WMD's. Why is he the only one being accused of lying?" Clinton, Kerry and Edwards didn't say that Hussein had a massive WMD capacity that posed an imminent threat to the US. None of them said that the threat was so clear and so well known that we had to invade Iraq right away - despite the fact that weapons inspections were working. It was Bush's team that savagely attacked everyone who raised doubts about Iraq's WMD threat.” 5:55:46 PM 8/08/04 “BTW: I'm not in favor of sabotaging any one's web site. I do think it is fair to answer back and disagree, to challenge their mistatements.” 5:56:46 PM 8/08/04 “OK this is hysterical. On the same site, they say: "Little logic is used when your [sic]are blitzed with the mud-slinging propaganda coming out of our political parties. Our goal is to to focus on logic; claw our way thought the mud; talk facts, unbiased facts the find fault everywhere in our government."” 5:59:34 PM 8/08/04 “and what does "unbiased facts the find fault everywhere in our government" mean anyway?” 6:02:06 PM 8/08/04 “The person is Looney Tunes, but I have a feeling some uneducated folks will believe the material.” 6:06:20 PM 8/08/04 “I can only imagine what the rest of the site will be like when that person has time to fill in the blank pages on God and Ethics.... good grief.” 6:09:08 PM 8/08/04 “Few things are as embarassing as creating a site that is supposed to showcase your "logic" and "intelligence" and it proceeds to show that you don't even know the spelling and grammar of your own native language. In the end your "logical" points are proved false and you merely look like a dumbass with a sh|tty looking frontpage template chumpy "webpage".” 6:32:13 PM 8/08/04 “Jeepers! We've all been duped! It's Stratdewds new home page! Welcome back, strat! LOL!” 7:27:13 PM 8/08/04 “In 2000, after repeated ballot counts attested to by four different media sources, George Bush won the 2000 election. The interjection by the US Supreme Court was in answer to blatantly illegal interference by the liberal Democrat Florida Supreme Court. There is a Constitutional mandate that the individual States conduct elections in our country. In other words, the proper place for the Florida election to be decided was in the Florida Supreme Court, not by 5 Republicans on the US Supreme Court. If the Florida Supreme Court had ordered a full recount that sought to determine the intent of the voter as required by the Florida Constitution, Gore would have won.” 9:03:33 PM 8/08/04 Violin “Shall I quote you in the rebuttal, or can I use your observation as a general statement?” 10:32:00 PM 8/08/04 “Use it however you wish BB. I'll work on a few others when I get the chance but as far as I'm concerned, the stolen election is key. Without that bit of racketeering, none of the other points matter.” 7:17:35 AM 8/09/04 “"Which party has allied itself with Saddam Huessein and Osauma Bin Laden?" Uh, the Republican Party!” 7:43:23 AM 8/09/04 “"How would you feel about George Bush if Saddam was raping and torturing your kids?" Saddam is gonna need a lot of Viagra for that.” 7:46:19 AM 8/09/04 “If I let you, you would makke me destroy myself. But in order to survive you, I must first survive myself. I can sink no further and I cannot forgive you. There's no choice but to confront you, to engage you, to erase you. I've gone to great lengths to expand my threshold of pain. I will use my mistakes against you. There's no other choice. Shameless now. Nameless now. Nothing now. No one now. But my soul must be iron cause my fear is naked. I'm naked and fearless.- And my fear is nakeeeeeeeeed!” 8:25:28 AM 8/09/04 “Kerry paid only $96,000 in income taxes? Could that be because of a tax cut for the very rich? Give a guy a tax cut and then hang him for not paying enough taxes. What a country!” 8:28:55 AM 8/09/04 “I think we need a Buddha Bear propaganda thread.” 8:30:30 AM 8/09/04 “I've got some Advice for you, little buddy. Before you point your finger you should know that I'm the man. If I'm the #&%!$in' man then you're the #&%!$in' man as well, So you can point that #&%!$in' finger up your aaaaaaaaaaaaaass!” 8:37:10 AM 8/09/04 “Ahhhh, the joys of being a white devil. Don't stare into my blue eyes for too long. I'll steal your soul.” 11:35:50 PM 8/11/04 “Cracker!!” 8:27:04 AM 8/12/04 Cracker Soul ? “Teen Angst?” 8:42:56 AM 8/12/04 “I perfer "Euro Trash Girl."” 8:48:03 AM 8/12/04 “Third Columnist Implicated with Payola Charges Michael McManus, whose syndicated column, "Ethics & Religion," appears in 50 newspapers, was hired as a subcontractor by the Department of Health and Human Services to promote an administration marriage initiative, according to an article posted yesterday by Salon.com, the online magazine. Senior writer Eric Boehlert wrote that Salon had confirmed that McManus “championed the plan in his columns without disclosing to readers he was being paid to help it succeed.” This report emerged one day after President Bush ordered his Cabinet secretaries to stop hiring commentators to help promote administration initiatives, after revelations surrounding commentators Armstrong Williams and Maggie Gallagher. continued...” 12:11:36 PM 1/28/05 “This stinks and is not the way to do business.” 12:18:09 PM 1/28/05 “"PR" stands for "Paying Republicans"” 10:39:53 AM 1/31/05 11:18:49 AM 2/07/05 “I'm waiting for "Hitler on Ice" to come out on DVD!” 11:31:37 AM 2/07/05 “Hitler on Ice, Jews in Space. Why was "History of the World II" never made?” 11:35:01 AM 2/07/05 “White House-friendly reporter under scrutiny By Charlie Savage and Alan Wirzbicki, Globe Staff and Globe Correspondent February 2, 2005 WASHINGTON -- The Bush administration has provided White House media credentials to a man who has virtually no journalistic background, asks softball questions to the president and his spokesman in the midst of contentious news conferences, and routinely reprints long passages verbatim from official press releases as original news articles on his website. Jeff Gannon calls himself the White House correspondent for TalonNews.com, a website that says it is "committed to delivering accurate, unbiased news coverage to our readers." It is operated by a Texas-based Republican Party delegate and political activist who also runs GOPUSA.com, a website that touts itself as "bringing the conservative message to America." Called on last week by President Bush at a press conference, Gannon attacked Democratic Senate leaders and called them "divorced from reality." During the presidential campaign, when called on by Press Secretary Scott McClellan, Gannon linked Senator John F. Kerry, Democrat of Massachusetts, to Jane Fonda and questioned why anyone would dispute Bush's National Guard service. Now, the question of how Gannon gets into White House press conferences is coming under intense scrutiny from critics who contend that Gannon is not a journalist but rather a White House tool to soften media coverage of Bush. The issue was raised by a media watchdog group and picked up by Internet bloggers, who linked Gannon's presence in White House briefings to recent controversies over whether the administration manipulates the flow of information to the public. These include the disclosure that the Education Department secretly paid columnist Armstrong Williams to promote its education policy and the administration's practice of sending out video press releases about its policies that purport to be "news stories" by fake journalists. McClellan said Gannon has not been issued -- nor requested -- a regular "hard pass" to the White House, and instead has come in for the past two years on daily passes. Daily passes, he said, may be issued to anyone who writes for an organization that publishes regularly and who is cleared to enter the building. He said other reporters and political commentators from lesser-known newsletters and from across the political spectrum also attend briefings, though he could not recall any Internet bloggers. McClellan said it is not the White House's role to decide who is and who is not a real journalist and dismissed any notion of conspiracy. Nonetheless, transcripts of White House briefings indicate that McClellan often calls on Gannon and that the press secretary -- and the president -- have found relief in a question from Gannon after critical lines of questioning from mainstream news organizations. When Bush called on Gannon near the end of his nationally televised Jan. 26 news conference, he had just been questioned about Williams and the Education Department funds, an embarrassment to the administration. Gannon's question was different. "Senate Democratic leaders have painted a very bleak picture of the US economy," Gannon said. "[Minority Leader] Harry Reid was talking about soup lines, and Hillary Clinton was talking about the economy being on the verge of collapse. Yet, in the same breath, they say that Social Security is rock solid and there's no crisis there. How are you going to work -- you said you're going to reach out to these people -- how are you going to work with people who seem to have divorced themselves from reality?" As it turned out, Reid had never talked about soup lines. That was a phrase attributed to him in satire by Rush Limbaugh on his radio show. Last year, during the presidential campaign, Gannon's comments could be even more pointed. In a Feb. 10, 2004, briefing with McClellan, for example, Gannon rose to deliver the following: "Since there have been so many questions about what the president was doing over 30 years ago, what is it that he did after his honorable discharge from the National Guard? Did he make speeches alongside Jane Fonda, denouncing America's racist war in Vietnam? Did he testify before Congress that American troops committed war crimes in Vietnam? And did he throw somebody else's medals at the White House to protest a war America was still fighting?" David Brock, the former investigative journalist who made his name revealing aspects of former President Bill Clinton's extramarital affairs, said he was watching last week's press conference on television and the "soup lines" question sparked his interest because it "struck me as so extremely biased." Brock asked his media watchdog group, Media Matters for America, to look into Talon News. It quickly discovered two things, he said. First, both Talon and the political organization GOP USA were run by a Texas Republican activist and party delegate named Bobby Eberle. Second, many of the reports Gannon filed for Talon News "appeared to be lifted verbatim from various White House and Republican political committee documents." Eberle did not return phone calls yesterday, and Gannon declined to comment. He did reply to Brock's group on his personal blog: "In many cases I have liberally used the verbiage provided on key aspects of the issue because it is the precise expression of where the White House stands -- free of any 'spin.' It's the ultimate in journalistic honesty -- unvarnished and unfiltered. If only others would be as forthcoming."” 12:38:01 PM 2/07/05 “I didn't think you'd be able to explain it to me. Mindless zombie cut and pasters...the backbone of the democrat party. LOL!” 12:41:43 PM 2/07/05 “Nigal, don't you have to drop your brain off at the cleaners?” 3:05:51 PM 2/07/05 6:48:40 PM 2/08/05 “Nigal, I think you're sliding a bit to the left!” 4:51:23 PM 2/09/05 “I was wondering if anyone was even going to watch it. LOL! Not sliding to the left but I do love a good laugh no matter what side of the isle it is aimed at.” 5:09:40 PM 2/09/05 “It made me all warm and fuzzy. So, were you gonna dust off one of your trolls to resurrect the thread? nyuk, nyuk.” 5:11:11 PM 2/09/05 “No but I was going to give it the good old [bump]” 5:14:17 PM 2/09/05 “ ”11:39:19 AM 2/21/05 “ ”11:05:50 AM 3/14/05 “ ”11:13:05 AM 3/23/05 “"Terror must be stopped. No nation can negotiate with terrorists. For there is no way to make peace with those whose only goal is death." -- George W Bush, April 4, 2002 Rumsfeld: U.S. Met With Iraq Insurgents LONDON - Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld acknowledged Sunday that U.S. officials met with insurgents in Iraq, after a British newspaper reported two such meetings took place recently at a villa north of Baghdad. Insurgent commanders "apparently came face to face" with four American officials during meetings on June 3 and June 13 at a villa near Balad, some 25 miles north of Baghdad, The Sunday Times reported. When asked on NBC's "Meet the Press" about the report of the two meetings, Rumsfeld said, "Oh, I would doubt it. I think there have probably been many more than that." last edited: 6/27/05 12:38:04 PM” 12:36:58 PM 6/27/05 “Iraqi Leader Foresees Security in 2 Years By ED JOHNSON, Associated Press Writer 1 hour, 38 minutes ago LONDON - Iraqi Prime Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari said Monday that two years would be "more than enough" to establish security in his country, a task Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld believes may take up to 12 years. Following talks with British Prime Minister Tony Blair, al-Jaafari said factors such as building up Iraq's own security forces, controlling the country's porous borders and pushing ahead with the political process would all play a part in ending the violence. "I think two years will be enough, and more than enough, to establish security in our country," he told reporters. Asked about al-Jaafari's comments Monday, Rumsfeld told a Pentagon news conference that "I recognize things I don't know, and that's one of them. ... There are so many variables that I would be reluctant to pretend that I could look into that crystal ball and say, X number of months or X number of years. I can't." On Sunday, Rumsfeld said "that insurgency could go on for any number of years. Insurgencies tend to go on five, six, eight, 10, 12 years." Bolstering the Iraqi security forces and taming the insurgency are considered critical to U.S. plans to withdraw from Iraq. Rumsfeld also acknowledged that U.S. officials have met with some insurgents — an approach Britain has also employed as it tries to bring stability to the country, Blair disclosed Monday. "It's our job politically to pull as many people into the political process. That is an engagement not just by the Iraqi government, but by the Americans, ourselves, others. Everybody," Blair told a news conference Monday. "We are not compromising our position with terrorism or any of the rest of it. We are simply trying, perfectly sensibly, to pull as many people into the democratic fold as possible." Later, in a joint news conference with his Iraqi counterpart, Blair refused to give further details of the contacts with insurgents. "I would not exaggerate what is happening here," he told reporters, when asked if Britain and America were coordinating their efforts. "It is a sensible part of trying to make sure you are bringing as many people into the democratic process as possible." Al-Jaafari said he had no objection to the United States and Britain having "dialogue with all the political forces" so long as they were not engaged in violence. "We have not negotiated with anybody who has been involved in bloodshed or explosions," he added. Blair said there was a spectrum within the insurgency, ranging from Jordanian-born Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Iraq's most-wanted terrorist, and others who are "utterly implacable," to those who "aren't engaged in violence but are sympathetic to the violence." "And then in the middle (there are) some people who may be involved in the violence or not," Blair said. "What it's trying to do is to make sure ... you get those people for example in the Sunni community ... to recognize their best way forward is participating in the December elections," Blair said. Members of Iraq's Shiite-dominated government are hoping more Sunnis will turn out for the planned December vote for a full-term government.” 4:14:33 PM 6/27/05
