The Empire State Building dimmed its lights for 15 minutes in honor of her.

Fun facts:

Fay received 10 grand for her appearance in the movie.

The movie grossed around $90,000, which was quite a bit considering it cost 15 cents to get in.

King Kong was only 18 inches tall

In high school I had these cool knee socks of King Kong holding her in his hand with the empire st building in the background. I always got tons of comments on them:)

Fay Wray was a Canadian....I didn't know that. Anyways, she and her family moved to New York city when she was 3.

A passing of another great legend.
