“Wow, what did I just hear on the radio: some of the fire may be arson and the police shot a suspect who tried to run away?

No kidding?”

“I heard they suspect arson, but I don't think they shot anyone yet.”

“Yeah, they shot somebody yesterday up near san bernadino i think. He was backing his car into the squad car and they shot him. He was a suspected arsonist.”

“more than one of these fires ARE arson. the San Ysidro fire is arson, kids did it.

This is one of the areas that was burned out, they are still without power last I heard. We are bringing masks and gloves in case we can do anything else for anyone. I am glad to finally be of use to someone. I hate inactivity.”

How does a 10 year old "accidentally" start a fire?

Don't they mean to say he accidentally burned 38,000 acres, 21 homes and 42 other structures?

Was he smoking and his cigarette got away from him? Was he fixing his lawn mower and sparks got out of hand?

Isn't it more likely he puposefully started the first?”

“i caught my 2nd son playing with matches when he was 7 years old. i took him into the kitchen, filled the sink with water and brought out all the books of matches i had. i had him strike a match and hold it until it burnt almost down to his finger and then throw it into the sink. he started to get tired of it after an hour. i kept him there for almost two hours striking match after match after match after match. i told him when we were done if he should ever feel like lighting matches again, to please see me and i would buy him some matches and we could do this again. i also promised him that he could build the next campfire if he never played with fire or matches again. Then I mentioned to his Den Leader that it would be a great idea to visit the fire station. She set that up.”
